LG Viewty - A good touch phone.

Advantages: Looks good, very good camera
Disadvantages: Texting can be tedious, very slow

...The LG Viewty, I thought it was a very good phone. It has it's downfalls but what phone doesn't! The more you use this phone you will find little things that niggle you. For example, I found it annoying when the phone would automatically lock after 10 seconds if you havent touched it in that time. You cannot change this in the settings. The CD that you get with the phone has very poor software, which makes it difficult to transfer music, pictures etc between PC and phone. The worse thing that i found with this phone is.....texting. You have to type very slowly. It takes a second or so for it to take in the letter that you last typed. So if you are a beginner at texting this phone will be excellent for you. The best things abou the LG Viewty - the camera. Not as many mega pixels as a Sony but still more than enough to get by...

LG Viewty reviewed. iPhone killer? Nope.

Advantages: QWERTY; touchscreen; powerful camera; 3G
Disadvantages: QWERTY can't be used at all points in phone; poor stylus storage

...I have recently got an LG Viewty (aka LG KU990), courtesy of Outside Line, to review and keep. The main features of this HSDPA (3G) mobile is the touchscreen and on-screen QWERTY keyboard. In addition to this, it boasts a 5MP camera with a proper flash and a low light setting up to ISO 800. The phone comes with a USB lead, headphones and charger. Dimensions and stylus: small and lipstick-like stylus The Viewty is fairly small, much smaller than my current XDA Exec, measuring roughly 105mm x 55mm x 15mm yet it still manages to boast a 3" screen! I'm guessing it's aimed at a female target audience due to it's lipstick-like expanding stylus (to control its touchscreen). There's no obvious place to insert the stylus in the phone so I attached via a hook on the phone. This is far from perfect... I'd rather have storage...

LG Viewty KU99O mobile phone

Advantages: Lots of media to choose from and easy to navigate around
Disadvantages: Can sometimes be slow and therefore freze on continous use on same button

...I first saw this phone when it came out a few years ago and it had a price tag of around £300, but when I noticed it the other day in Tesco for just over £100 I snapped it up! I have now had this phone for just less than a year now, it has many features and has easy access to all these features through the 'touch screen navigating'! I'll start with the 5 mega pixel camera, personally I think it takes clear photos, with its 'autofocus' technology, I think that it is one of the best cameras I have ever seen on a phone, but in poor light conditions the photos can become easily blurred and extremey dark, there is also on-screen editing, which can be REAL FUN! You can morph your friends, colour swap etc, also has a video camera and on this you can edit the timing so things will appear in slow motion! The mp3 player has clear sound...

Great touch screen phone from LG.

Advantages: Clear screen, easy to navigate menus, good quality camera
Disadvantages: Tinny suond playing MP3, software glitches, unable to view screen in daylight

...I've owned this phone now for around 12 months and am loving it, this is my first touch screen phone. First off, I have found the screen to be large (3.5") very clear with excellent colour reproduction. On the downside, the screen cannot be viewed in direct/bright sunlight or even outside on overcast days - this is a big disappointment, as it makes viewing messages when you are out extremely difficult. When I say I can't see anything I mean it, the phone might aswell be switched off! The battery life is great, I get as much as 7 days between charges if the phone hasn't been used much - which after 12 months use is superb, especially considering the large screen size. A Great Phone the LG KU990 Viewty

Advantages: Touch screen, sleek, slim, durable
Disadvantages: touch screen is hard for some people

...The touch screen is at first hard to get used to but after to get used to it it is worth it. Turn it to te side and get a qwerty key board which is awesome and easy to use. This phone is fast no matter what cell phone carrier you use and regardless I believe of 3g connection or not. I honestly had a great time with this phone and have always been an LG fan. As with most modern phones with lots of applications and gadgets the phone battery wears down easily with a couple phone calls. If you use it just for texting expect the battery to last a lot longer. I've dropped the phone a couple of times and its been just fine a couple scratches but that's it. Be careful as with all new phones and mostly LGs if you drop it from too far you will crack the screen, and sometimes sitting on the phone will easily scratch the screen....

Fantastic phone (LG KU990 Viewty)

Advantages: Great looks, good battery, good camera
Disadvantages: no real 'aftermarket' customisations.

...The interface and style of the LG viewty is very eye-catching and stylish. The phone has good features to avoid pressing buttons with your ear whilst on the phone, and the interface is very simple. The mp3 player is good quality and it has a good standard memory. The camera is good with great features, especially the 120 FS video mode (see youtube videos for examples), though this won't replace my digital camera any time soon. The only drawbacks with this phone are the lack of additions. You cannot download any new themes or customise the phone as you can with a Nokia (without programming knowledge). The LG Suite software provided can be tempermental and there is no current alternative to download the images from your phone. The phone hasn't yet 'crashed' on me and the battery lasts about 4-5 days (though I don't use it...

...This is a stunning phone, with a wide range of features. It has a cracking camera, and a beautiful large screen. It is my first LG phone, and easily one of the best I have owned. Personally I do not like the stylus, but it is easy and fast to use with just a finger. The menu screen is very clear and easy to understand, the online internet is outstanding, you can view web pages in both portrait and landscape which makes it easy to navigate. The phone does not arrive with much in terms of games, ringtones or such but they are very easy to put on using the supplied data cable, it plays music with a very good quality. It has all the usual features such as a calculator, converters etc, but also includes shortcuts to google maps and other such places.
