...Sitting at the bottom end of the price bracket for 42" plasma televisions, the LG RZ 42PX 11 is surprisingly good. LG make good quality products and this one stands out. The picture quality on analogue and DTV can be a little juddery at times; however the picture quality on DVD and Xbox is amazing. It is packed with features to enhance picture and sound quality (the sound is excellent and fills the room with ease), with a very easy to use menu system. We found setting up a doddle, and really appreciate the multiple inputs (5 scarts and PC/camera inputs) as our system is all set up and no fiddling of wires is now needed. The design is simple and stylish, with minimum clutter on the front and accessible inputs on the side. The stand is uncomplicated and sturdy, and the whole package looks great. ...First of all its a great screen, I have had it for 5 months and it's given me nothing but joy. It's been great for Movies, Sky Plus, Football and Xbox. I was tempted to buy one of the real budget screens, but on reading AVForums.com I was put off. I spend a good month looking at writeups and reviews on various screens and eventually chose this one. The TV offers a huge choice of connections - Scart, SVHS, HDMI, Component and DVI. Great features - Picture in Picture, HDTV Compatible, XD Picture. If you can't afford or don't need a HDTV Ready Plasma screen the LG 42PX3RV can't be faulted. I have hooked it up to a LG DVX9900H High Definition DVD player using a HDMI connection and the picture looks great. By the way HDTV Compatible means the the plasma has 480 lines so it must downscale the 720 or 1080 signal first, but the result... Read review

...For a while now, i'd been looking for a plasma tv, and when i saw the lg i had to get it. i bought it in january in the sales and i think i got it at a bargain price. i got it from comet and it cost me just over £1100, not a bad price considering its available now at prices above this. The picture quality on the tv is great, its very clear and the sound is also very good. im afraid i don't know all the technical jargon for the tv but it is a great tv. i've currently got the tv on a stand which cost around £400, but it is possible to wall mount the tv. The tv to look at is very good looking and very appealing. The tv was relatively easy to set up however i did have have a few problems setting up my dvd player, as we had to many outputs so we had to buy another scart lead in order to connect the dvd player, video and sky box but other... ...As an ex electrical company employee (which will remain unknown) I can say that this particular product has excellent sound and picture quality. Problems with the product may include patches on the screen, decline in the sound quality and problems with freeview channels. The patches on the screen may be due to a collection of gas underneath the glass which is common with plasma sets but not LCD sets, this would have to be rectified by an engineer. This is also the case with the decrease in sound quality would could be due to a problem with the tube at the back of the screen. For problems with freeview channels the freeview site can be viewed, it is always advised that you consult this site before purchasing a new TV. ...I am going to write this on the basis that someone intends to buy this TV as 'used' rather then as a new TV, as LG released this model in 2001. This is a great 32" widescreen TV, it has great looks, the front of the TV actually looks like a Plasma/LCD TV. So if you have the right sort of cabinet / or dig a big wall you can fool your friends to think you have a Plasma!. It has nice glossy black plastic around the sides with contrasting grey plastic. There are button on the front of the TV, which are small, but quite trendy. So on looks it gets 5 out of 5. The Sound is just brilliant. It has Front speakers and also fitted speakers at the back of the TV which point sideways. And if you press "Turbo Sound" you get Enhanced Sound - and trust me this really good!!. ...I have in the past bought LG products including a 19in monitor for my PC which has turned out to be superb so when it came to buying a new TV I already had the brand in mind. This particular model was on offer at a very reasonable price in a local store near to me so I went along to take a look and compare it with others I had seen on the internet. It had everything I was personally looking for bearing in mind the buget I was on and the features it came with, so I went ahead and took it home. After setting it up as per the instruction manual I went straight into creating my personal preferences within the menu setup. ...Had this for over a month and it's great. It is 100Hz (not 50Hz as stated) and the picture quality is fantastic!!! Sound quality is fab too. Easy to set up. Great variations on screen sizes and easy to adjust the picture quality using it's XD Engine. It also has in built freeview which is clear as a bell to watch unlike some boxes I have used in the past. EPG is easy to use. Remote control is good and if you have other LG products it might even control them too. I have mine on a stand but can be wall mounted to save space. Great looking in your living room too. I could ramble on about it but there is no point, it is just EXCELLENT!!!... Read review
