My LG Shine and Me

Advantages: Camera photos are decent if you can get a picture, its relatively cheap to buy .
Disadvantages: Heavy, unattractive, uncomfortable to use, easy to scratch so the 'Shine' fades to a grey blur.

...you want a phone that can be used as a digital camera for those special moments in life, don't buy the LG Shine. After a while, I have found that this phone has become uncomfortable to use. The roller button on the front of the phone has just become extremely annoying! as have the two buttons on either side of the roller button. The LG's battery life is not very impressive, I charged my phone from dead to fully charged last night and over the course of 24 hours I only have half of my battery life left. I was disappointed in this because I work long hours (sometimes I don't come home for two days) and I find that my phone has died before I've come home which can become very annoying, especially when you need to make the call for your ride home! LG Viewty has some nice features but battery life is lacking.

I found it easy finding my way around the interface too due to the touch screen. The touch screen has many advantages and disadvantages depending on the application your trying to use. In the calendar, for example, it makes it easy to select the day you want to as you just have to touch that day. Inputting text on the phone can be a problem. The phone comes with a stylus and you can write the letters on the screen. At first glance this seems like a great tool but when I used it, it did not recognise half the letter I wrote, so I had to recreate half the letters again, which just wasted time. ...i bought the LG shine about 7 months ago on contract with Orange. the contract only cost me £30 a month, which i thought was very reasonable for this phone, as it is quite expensive otherwise it has many functions, including : bluetooth, camera, video camera, internet access, mp3 player it also comes with a screen cleaner, headphones with a volume and track control attached to it, and a charger. a memory card can be inserted for more space. the screen of this phone also acts as a mirror, which is rather handy! i have this phone in silver, but it can also be bought in red, or black. the LG Shine is fairly easy to use, and is not too big or too small. the battery of this phone is pretty good, and from past experience i know that another battery can be bought very easily and cheaply....

...I recently took out the LG Shine on contract. When i recieved the phone i was firstly really impressed with the way it looked. It was light weight, thin and had the sliding feature which i love in a phone. I also really liked the scroller which i thought was really original. When i switched it on i found it was really easy to use and fell in love instantly. When i went to send my first text message i found that the keys stick a little bit and they dont always work which is a bit infuriating especially if you really need to send a text. ...I first purchased my LG shine the day it come out, i think it is a very stylish phone and has a stainless steal case which makes it look stylish with its silver but also very stong and robust protecting the phone from any drops or anything like that.The LCD mirror is a very cool feature of the phone which is very helpful to vein people such as myself lol. The camera on the phone takes extremely clear pictures but it doesn't have a very good zoom on it so therefore it makes it difficult to make pictures clear.The touchpad is good if you have had experience with this technology before but can get fairly annoying for the amateur phone user. also the scroll pad which allows you to scroll up and down the menu with a little scroller is a very cool aspect of the phone and makes it much easier to look around the menu. the battery is not too bad...
