Advantages: Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Un - responsive touchscreen, Bulky, Poor Camera

...In November of last year, when my contract was nearing its end, I began looking for a new cell phone. There wasn't a great deal of choice, with the only phone worth having looking like the LG Ku990 Viewty. Over the past 7 months there hasn't been a decision I regret more. Why? OK, so we'll start on appearance. It's not exactly an ugly phone, its just not exactly pretty either, and in fact, I feel its rather bulky. The front features a large touchscreen, with the only buttons being the Call, Cancel and End Call buttons. There's a small front-facing camera in the top right for all your video calls, and on the back lies the phones 5.0mp (Mega-Pixel) camera. Ease of use. Advantages: GOOD QUALITY CAMERA! GOOD AMOUNT OF STORAGE! GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!!!
Disadvantages: HARD TO CLEAN! SLOW CAMERA!

However, in my opinion, this phone is farely hard to clean beacause of the huge screen but it, i must say, is quite robust! ...work .... WOW!. Everyone who has had a play on my phone loves it, they find the gimic of touch amazing. Also the iphone style menu scroll is a really nice affect. I rarely use the internet on my viewty but form what i have used it, i'd call it average, it only displays mobile pages, whereas many modern phones now show full webpage display. I have no games for my phone and as it only comes with one demo (on orange, not sure about other networks) i haven't really managed to experience games. But from the demo i found that using the touch screen could be a bit fiddly and sometimes not as reactive as you'd like. Another big seller for many people, is the camera, an amazing 5 megapixel. It also includes anti-shake, which in my experience hasn't worked very well and i've found that the shutter button has been quite hard to press making...

...THE LG KU990 (Viewty) iPhone looks, with less $$$ We have just purchased this phone, My Girlfriend is a bit of a trend setter, and so went into Phones4U to collect this piece of pure genius. The box is imprinted with the date it was made (20 Oct 2007), so in our grubby little hands fast. The first thing you notice when you open the box, is the 'pop-up' style opening, which allows you to see two pictures of the phone. One as a phone, one as a camera. When you pull the phone out of the box, it looks like a camera with phone feature... which is amazing in itself! In the Box: Phone LG KU990 Battery Sub boxes - Charger, USB cable, earphones, stylus pen, screen protector and instructions. As with most modern mobiles, the LG Viewty can be used as an MP3 player. The phone functions well playing music however the software which it comes with is not user friendly. It does'nt convert music files into MP3 so if you have any .wav or other sound files they will get copied to the phone but will not be playable. Other phones and MP3 players I have used, automatically convert all music files into MP3. So if you want to copy one of your CD's to your phone to listen to, you have to find a way of converting the whole thing to MP3 first. The LG sync program is in general hard to get to grips with. ...I picked up the Viewty last september off of Ebay at a reasonable price of around £120. For this i got the actual phone itself, the charger, pc cable and all the relevant instruction books. Initial thoughts: When i got my hands on the viewty it came packed in a very tidy little box, everything was secured away nicely and looked very neat. I fired up the phone for the first time and had to input all the settings manually. A slight pain that there was no 'wizard' to guide you through but it was easy enough. The touch screen is very well made and you recieve a small buzz (the screen vibrates to show it has been touched) this is an ingenius little trick as you're never quite sure when you have touched it. LG 'Viewty' KU990 - The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

Advantages: 5 Megapixel Camera, 120 fps Video Recording, HSDPA Mobile Broadband.
Disadvantages: Unresponsive Touchscreen, Slightly Bulky.

...I first got this phone when touchscreens were fairly new to the market and as you can image I was thrilled at first. However, the novelty soon began to wear off. Although the screen is vivid and is easy to navigate, it can be slightly unresponsive at times which can be annoying when texting. For me, texting is one of the most important parts of a phone and frankly, this phone isn't very good at it. The virtual buttons are too small and unresponsive for an efficent text and I find that I'd rather call people than text them. The phone has several ways to input a text message depending on preference: - Standard keypad layout. - QWERTY keyboard layout - Handwriting recognition I think LG have done a good job at trying to satisfy everyone's preference and although the screen is unresponsive at times there is a little nifty force feedback...

A Great Phone the LG KU990 Viewty

Advantages: Touch screen, sleek, slim, durable
Disadvantages: touch screen is hard for some people

...The touch screen is at first hard to get used to but after to get used to it it is worth it. Turn it to te side and get a qwerty key board which is awesome and easy to use. This phone is fast no matter what cell phone carrier you use and regardless I believe of 3g connection or not. I honestly had a great time with this phone and have always been an LG fan. As with most modern phones with lots of applications and gadgets the phone battery wears down easily with a couple phone calls. If you use it just for texting expect the battery to last a lot longer. I've dropped the phone a couple of times and its been just fine a couple scratches but that's it. Be careful as with all new phones and mostly LGs if you drop it from too far you will crack the screen, and sometimes sitting on the phone will easily scratch the screen....

LG Viewty (or ku990 for technical of peoples)

Advantages: decent camera, looks fantastic, touchscreen there quite fun :P

...The The LG ku990 or viewty as its known by most of its target audience who happen to be the more fashionable and stylish people in the world =P, this shows in its design which is a sleak rather good looking touchscreen phone with a steelplated "scratch resistence" back and funky touchscreen. Dont expect the same quality from the touchscreen as say an Apple Iphone it dosent use the same technology but i wont go into the boring details on that. The main feature is its 5.1 Megapixel camera and is LGs main party trick with this thing. Although it is 5 megapixel the quailty can kinda suck unless you are in the perfect conditions with a nice bit of sun.
