Buns of steel: Life Fitness Glute Press

Advantages: Superb Build quality, simple to use
Disadvantages: A bit too expensive for such a simple piece of equipment

...Unknowingly, Life Fitness have achieved a sexual divide with the Glute Press as having worked in a number of gyms, I rarely see any males actually using this piece of equipment. Perhaps it is the female predisposition for smaller butt that means blokes can?t actually get a look in! Irrespective of this apparent user guideline of being ?female?, the glute press is once again another exceptional mainstay of the Life Fitness Signature series. Before we go any further, lets take a look at who your buying from and what to expect from the Signature Series. (apologise to those who have read my previous reviews regarding this equipment, there is an element of repetition with regards to the history of life fitness and the signature series however I feel I have to leave this in to give new consumers a full account of this piece of equipment...

"Lat will do nicely" : Life Fitness Lateral Raise

Advantages: Perfect execution of the exercise in hand, quality build, quality company
Disadvantages: Expensive for the home buyer, very heavy!!!!

...On to the second piece of Life Fitness equipment I will be reviewing this week, the Life Fitness Signature Lateral Raise. This is one of my favourite pieces of kit and in my opinion creates the best gurning faces out of all the kit in the gym (lol). Apologise to those that have read my other review regarding the signature series, there is an element of repetition regarding the company details and signature series, but I prefer to keep it in for new consumers as it highlights who they are buying from and also the uniqueness of the signature brand. Review of Life Fitness Signature Series Lateral Raise

Get Fit, Go Elliptical!

Advantages: Low impact cardiovascular workout
Disadvantages: Expensive

.../down. In terms of manouvreability - you can 'wheel' it on two its two front feet, which turn like wheels so you don't have to lift the whole thing to move it - which is useful. To maintain this machine, you may occasionally need to oil some of the moving joints - a little WD40 will do nicely, but apart from that you just have to use it regularly to stop the dust settling! This is a very good, sturdy machine that will give you an excellent cardiovascular work out and won't impact on your joints. If you want to take up jogging, but can't stand the rain and cold, or don't want to be seen in running in public, this is the perfect compromise. It is slightly on the expensive side compared to what you can buy standard elliptical machines for, but I think it's worth the money purely because of the inbuilt seat! Let's get fit people!...

Fit for life, Brillient

Advantages: Get healthy, feel great and lose weight
Disadvantages: There is alot of refering to other people and sources

...As our body is a self sufficient machine that means it will fix its self and take care of it by cleaning our in sides out and staying as fit and thin as we should be. The body does this by using every spare bit of energy it has to clean the body and rid it off fat cells, so when the body has a major job to do like digesting food it has to stop burning and pushing out fat cells and concentrate on doing that. The most energy consuming thing our bodies have to do is digest food, we use about 90% of our daily energy burning of food so the obvious thing is to use less energy burning off food so your body can spend more of its time getting rid of toxic rubbish, fat cells and bits of old food that have been lodge in your stomach for years, nice thought! Here?s how to do this, I have read the book a million times, its really good...

Advantages: Superb build quality, biomechanical perfection.
Disadvantages: Expensive but great value.

fit for life? not quite sure yet! (Updated)

Advantages: A healthy eating plan, loads of different choices to suit all lifestyles.

Better that Wii Fit but ........

Advantages: A great improvement on Wii Fit
Disadvantages: You need to be self motivated to stick with it

The poses are challenging for a beginner like me and what I particularly like is that you are rated for all of the exercises on the balance board so that you can see how you are improving over time. When I first started I really struggled with the ones where you need to balance on one leg but after a month I am finding them much easier and I am much better at retaining my balance. One thing that Wii Fit tells you is that as you age the lower body gets weaker and that as the lower body is essential to support the upper body you need to work at keeping your fitness in this area. I am noticing a difference in my balance in my daily life and I am trying to make sure I practice balance when dressing and drying myself after a shower and I know I am improving. I find...

Advantages: Easy way to keep fit.

Now, I'm not one of those people you see in documentaries who can't get out of bed because they're huge but I could stand to lose a stone or two. I used to go to the gym twice a week but I found it too difficult and it was straining keeping up with my trainer, and I felt embarassed whenever I told him I couldn't do something. I did lose about half a stone though so I was happy about that. When I started using the Wii fit I was a bit anxious about trying it out because it had been a while since I'd been to the gym and I wasn't too keen to let my family see how unfit I was! Tunturi C30 elliptical. A great deal from Fitness superstore!!

Advantages: Great machine and FS has a great website.great products.cheap.good Customer Service and delivery!!

...I decided to purchase a Tunturi c30 elliptical cross trainer from Fitness-Superstore and this really is the king of crosstrainers so if you have the money go for it. I am 17 stone man, so I am by no means small. I have purchased a few home crosstrainer in the past and I tend to give them a real beasting as you would in a real gym but they simply fell apart. This machine is well built strong and can take 135kg or 23 stone and has survived me! lol, it has loads of programmes, heart monitor and is whisper quiet and I mean quiet!!. Tunturi are simple the best when it comes to cardio equipment so DO NOT waste your hard earned money on anything else, you will be dissapointed!! The machine speaks for it's self and I don't really need to say anymore about it. I have noticed a few comments below about delivery from this company...
