How beautiful life really is...

Advantages: A film to make you think
Disadvantages: Could be a difficult concept to accept

...I became inquisitive about this film when I was reading a book referring to human nature and how we cope mentally in adverse conditions - The author of the book quoted Life is Beautiful. This intrigued me and I was determined to see the film. The main character is a man called Guido, (Roberto Benigni) He was magnificent in the film and I can see why he was awarded best actor in 1999. The film also received two more awards, one for Best Foreign Language film and the other - Best music, original score. Set in Italy in 1939, Guido has a wonderful imagination; at the beginning of the film his acting is packed with slap stick comedy and his character comes across as comical and whimsical. ...When I bought this album, it took me a while to listen to the other tracks because I was constantly listening to the fantastic "I try" and "Still". Once I got passed these tracks, I tried to work out which were the weak "album trackS" that albums seem to have. No matter how hard I try, I can't find a bad track on this album. Macy Gray has an unusual voice that sounds like it should be annoying, but it's not. There are ten fantastic tracks on this album, all written by Macy Gray and every one is a gem. With the summer approaching, this album sounds even better as the weather gets warmer. This is the kind of album that you wait a long time for, because todays image driven, marketing produced bands do not produce albums like this.
