It was this tribute to Marley than put the idea of writing a whole book in Grogan's head, and the idea works well, because it's more a series of anecdotes than anything else. With a style reminiscent of Bill Bryson this is an easy and entertaining read. I think I enjoyed it more than expected because it included fewer doggie details than I'd anticipated. Yes, Marley crops up in every one of those anecdotes, but we also get to hear about the couple's life and their jobs and the children who come along. The family seem very down to earth people, which helps them ingratiate themselves with the reader, while Marley is a loveable terror, with the focus on loveable. Most of the criticisms of this book seem to revolve around the way the couple treat Marley...

The box the cereal comes in is slightly smaller than the standard cereals, this I can only assume is the fact that is not a ?puffed? cereal, meaning that there is more volume without the extra space being required.
