GREAT Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110

Advantages: cheap, easy to use ,all your internet need, good dvd rom/cd-rw
Disadvantages: quite slow on start up

...Ive had this laptop now for about a year and i havent had anything wrong with it but to be honest it isnt the best laptop in the world as it is abit slow when loading up and it could do with a bigger hard drive as it only has a 20gb. but if you only want a laptop to go the internet ,read your e-mails and to watch and burn dvds i would highly recommend it to anyone and as it is a bit old you can get one for around £149.99 which is realy cheap for a laptop which to be honest isnt that bad! and im sure if you have a look on ebay you could get one fo around £70 which would be a bargin! so if you are looking for a laptop which is cheap and does all the your internet , email and media needs you need to get yourself a Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook C1110....

Nokia 7110

Advantages: Cool design, nice sliding cover, customisable, loads of uses such as calendar
Disadvantages: Poor software in the first batch prone to freezing,

...Nice phone - pity that the WAP is poor in general. I have a 7110e on Orange everyday 50 and this phone is one of the best out there. Of course theres the legendary SNAKE game - snake 2 now being the popular one, and the ability to store 4 phone numbers and an e-mail address per person but this is only in the phones memory might I add not on the sim card. The build quality of this phone is excellent and has a large screen display and text input is easy when using the predictive dictonary but why Nokia ommitted common slang and swear words from this is a mistery. The screen display is excellent and larger than most models making SMS reading a doddle. Another good point is that it can recieve logos and images from the many avaiable sites to make customisation easy and it can store 6 different ringtones so you can have 1...

Nokia 7110e - all the phone you will ever need

...The Nokia 7110e is a lovely little phone, a good looking devil, very efficient and just bursting with all manner of exciting features. It's a phone that is available free with a number of contract packages and you might like to check out www.clubmobile.co.uk for further details of contracts available etc. It's a great size, small enough to fit in your pocket or handbag but chunky enough that you can get a good grip! It also has a key lock feature which is ideal if your phone is subject to being chucked in your bag as this protects keys from being pressed and calls made in error! It also has a slide panel on the front which provides extra protection. It has a lovely large screen which is very clear to read and the backlight stays on long enough that you never miss any important information. And as a bonus, when playing the games...

Nokia 7110 mobile phone, by orange.

Advantages: 1000 names and numbers in memory, Neo had similar one in the matrix !
Disadvantages: Software probs, sliding cover can wear out contacts.

..."spivs" at car auctions ! . I progressed through the range of ' well dodgey' phones that Orange had to offer during the mid to late 90's , untill I reached the best phone that I've ever owned ..... the 7110, I went from screens that displayed single lines of text , to this wonder , with a full large screen, displaying full pages, WAP sites, ( great , for the local weather, or booking theater tickets to crap plays , that you'd never think about seeing !! ) what ever, all I need from a phone is to , make and recieve a call, .....without , any problems. And this phone did just that . You could store 1000 names, numbers, addresses, email, + notes on all your contacts, fantastic ! . ( which is bloody marvelous if you're self employed !! ) I think I must have been lucky with the software , installed in my phone , cos I never had any probs...

A Lifebook to make Life Easier

Advantages: Really small and easy to transport
Disadvantages: Gets a little hot plus finding a smaller enough case not easy!

...My husband bought this laptop to replace our large and ageing Toshiba laptop - without telling me I might add, but I am so pleased with it that I forgive him easily! For the technically minded (which I am not very) the following are the specs: Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook T4120 Intel T2400 @ 1.83Ghz Core Duo 512mb Memory 12.1" LCD Display CD/DVD Re-writer Running Windows XP Pro Tablet PC Version The main selling point for us (OK well for him) was the compact size and relatively light weight. The machine is fast and silent but does get rather hot if used for long periods - which means I need to get a lap tray for my husband's knees! Battery life (in the real world) is an acceptable 2 hours or so. Now - what makes this laptop different from others on the market is that the screen rotates and folds down over the keyboard...

Help for the 7110

Advantages: lots of info and lets you know what you might be in for as an owner of the 7110
Disadvantages: bit basic - PS I'll rate the phone with the bits below.

...Having just read Mogunhunds epic on telecommunications ops, I’m not even going to attempt to state my opinion on the handset I currently own, Nokias bodge of all bodges the 7110. Sorry. I just have, so let me finish. Fantastic phone, couldn’t live without it if only it worked now and again. Enough. For the rest I will let someone else share their thoughts with you on this handset, namely the guy who has devoted what must be his life to www.unoffical7110.co.uk. Now I have argued with myself on where I should place this op, and decide here as it sums up my feelings on the phone but also acts as a word of warning for anyone thinking of buying one, and here is where they will look. Onwards……… I bumped into this site fairy early on in its life shortly after buying into WAP earlyish last year...

Non-Techy Guide to the Nokia 7110

Advantages: Nice design, lots of functions, WAP enabled, good battery life and great screen
Disadvantages: Bit expensive - use iPoint vouchers (or similar) to knock the cost down

...Using vouchers from iPoints, etc. we managed to get the Nokia 7110 for £40 instead of the usual £150, from The Link on a BT Cellnet Pay-as-you-go option. I had been looking for a phone that offered several options including calendar reminders and Internet access (ie. E-mail). The idea is that the phone will be a useful long-term investment as far as work would go and so that my partner has the choice of voice, text or e-mail should she need to contact me. So entered the race to find the phone that would suit best. Using Ciao I read loads of opinions on what the general consensus for the best phone was. The Nokia 7110 didn't come high up the list, but was recommended highly anyway and I did like the look of the phone from the moment I had clapped eyes on it in a shop. The idea of this opinion is not to delve into the technical stuff...

Fujitsu lifebook E series

Advantages: quick nice design
Disadvantages: keyboard

...The Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook notebook is a nice looking and fast computer. The screen of this notebook is very large and is controlled by the special function keys. You have the possibility to use 2 pcmcia cards to use scsi equipment or to use a modem. The last notebook I had was a Siemens, but that was a less user friendly machine. The E-series notebook can be equipped with a 4, 6 or 9 GB harddisk. One of the disadvatages of the lifebook is it's keyboard. The keys are not allways very logically situated. The insert and delete keys are for instance situated at the top of the keyboard. So correcting wronly typed words causes you to move your right hand out of the type area. Especially for quick-typing users this is time consuming....
