Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Do not last too long
...Who in their right minds would write a review of lightbulbs? Well, to judge from my researches on Ciao, very few. In fact the only bulbs I found here were the sort you plant in the ground. So maybe I am mentally challenged but recently I have been doing a little research into the longevity of these everyday necessities! Maybe readers will feel my conclusions are worth sharing. If not, at least this is a more concise offering than my normal ramblings!
A few months ago I received one of those unsolicited state pension projections/ illustrations. It came as a bit of a shock as the reality of my approaching retirement age hadn't hit me before and this prompted thoughts of living on a much reduced income. I must admit that, previously, I was not a keen student of prices because, always being in a hurry, I would just grab what I needed...
Advantages: Light on tap. Disadvantages: Nothing major.
...JML seem to have been hitting the headlines lately with the Ped egg, well I have never tried a Ped Egg but I can vouch for the JML Stick up bulb.
We have a large store in a neighbouring town called `Home Bargains` and in that store you can find all sorts of gadgets and gimmicks, some far better than others but at least it is fun trying them all out.
We went in to buy a small step stool and came out with a stick up lightbulb, so that wasn't bad was it ?
The JML stick up lightbulb is in fact a very good idea, that is not to say that there are some areas where there is still room for improvement.
The Stick up bulb cost us £7.99 and we bought it to use in our garden shed, if we need to go down to the shed when it is darker then it is normally a two man job, one holds the torch while the other one sorts through the mountains of stuff...

Review of JML Stick Up Bulb
Advantages: Better than normal Disadvantages: More expensive & 110 volt.
...OK this is a review on a lightbulb! "How do you write more than a sentence"? I hear you ask, "Not a clue" says I. Although there are some things you probably don''t know about them.
Firstly, the bulbs are more properly called lamps, bulbs are the things that grow in the garden.
Secondly, the lamps that are used here are designed to be used in a harsh environment than usual, they are made to stand a lot of abuse, vibration, shocks, and extremes of temperature. They cost a little more, but are designed not to fail as easy as ordinary lamps.
These lamps are always "Pearl" ones, not clear that could dazzle. They are made of slightly thicker glass than household ones, and the filaments are able to withstand a little more abuse.
They are actually called "Rough service lamps". They are marketed under the brand name "Britelight...

Review of Birchwood 60W GLS Bulbs
Advantages: Bright, Clear, Battery LIfe Disadvantages: Cost, Scratches easily
...you get what you pay for.
The HL-EL 300 comes from near the top of the range of Cateye battery-operated headlights (hence the HL). The "EL" in the name indicates that it uses LEDs as the light-source, rather than the more traditional Halogen type bulb, and the "300" signifies the relative status in a range that spans 120 - 510.
Before I go much further, it's probably worth talking a little bit more about bicycle lights and the difference between front and back. Disregarding the obvious white versus red distinction, the back light serves a single purpose - to make sure you're seen by other road users when visibility is poor. The front light on a bike serves two roles. As well as making you visible to any other traffic, a front light is probably going to have to illuminate your way at some stage so as well as being visible from a good...

Review of Cateye HL-EL300
Advantages: Light where needed without electricity Disadvantages: Uses Batteries
...Until last Christmas when I received the Fresh Air Globe as a present, I had never really been a great fan of JML nor, in fact, was I aware of just how many items they make. The StickUp Bulb is one such item, and I believe one of their newest as I first received information via their website newsletter. Since then however, it has been advertised to some extent on television.
At first I will admit that I didn't consider the item as I had seen this type of thing previously - that is, until I found a use for it, then suddenly it seemed to be exactly what I had been looking for.
At the back of our house we have a small conservatory without the benefit of electric lighting (although plans are afoot!) and trips to the back garden after dark (a necessity if you have animals) required a ready-to-hand torch.
The more I thought about...

Review of JML Stick Up Bulb
Advantages: More assured writing, Death, Cohen is a wonderful character Disadvantages: The Discworld is still not quite mature
...The Light Fantastic, the second of the Discworld novels, is the only straight sequel within the series. It shares many features with The Colour of Magic, as one might expect, and like its predecessor gives the impression of a writer not yet entirely sure of his ground. Given that the said writer is Terry Pratchett, however, there's still plenty to enjoy, even if a part of that enjoyment is the knowledge that you have a large number of better books ahead of you in the series.
This book follows Rincewind, the Disc's most incompetent "wizzard" [sic] and Twoflower, the planet's first known tourist. The former has lived all his life in the bustling, dangerous city of Ankh-Morpork, while Twoflower has appeared without warning from the Agatean Empire or "Counterweight Continent". This almost unknown and indeed semi-legendary place has a number...
Advantages: add light any where Disadvantages: none
...our closet in our bedroom is very dark and dingy looking, i store all of the junk we dont use very often in there but it is a pain when i need something and come to find it as there is no light in there so i have to use a torch, i saw this in woolworths for £9.99 last week and decided to give it a try, it comes in a cardboard box, inside you have a light fitment that looks like an ordinary house hold bulb and a piece to attach to the wall to clip it into.
Attaching it to the wall is very simple you have the option of using the sticky pads or the choice of screwing it to the wall, not being a big fan of diy i decoded to use the sticky pad which has actually held a lot better than i expected it to.
The light is a lot brighter than i thought it would be and is comparable to a 60 watt bulb but does need 4 aa batteries to power it so i...

Review of JML Stick Up Bulb
Advantages: Helps give your child confidence at bedtime. Disadvantages: The character theme of the nightlight will make not suitable for some.
...~Drifting off to sleep~
My son has always been an active baby, since birth he was lifting his head to see what was going on around him when he was only a few days old. He has always been alert, active, inquisitive, and lively so when he needed to sleep during the day it always took him a bit of effort to switch off. Luckily once he was asleep he would sleep for a good amount of time, and at bedtime he became quite fussy as he couldn?t soothe himself to sleep easily, once he was asleep he would sleep through the night only waking for a feed. We tried different methods to sleep train him from birth, and even though he was in a routine and we would wined down the day with the light dimmed and take a calm, soft, gentle approach to the bedtime routine it still took him quite a bit of effort to get into the land of nod. Once he had...
Advantages: Powerful, lightweight, highly practical, stylish and excellent value for money. Disadvantages: A bit too strong. Struggles with thicker books.
...INTRODUCTION
On Thursday, 12th November one of my most epic searches finally came to and end in the most unlikely of locations. In the Christmas stocking filler section of our local garden centre, nestled amongst other little gadgets and gizmos, I found ?The Really Tiny Book Light?. Let me get something straight from the get go ? it wasn?t as if I was searching for something perfect ? I just wanted a serviceable book light to allow me to read at night when my wife preferred to go to sleep. However, my quest for a reliable book light stretches back three Christmases and two birthdays and I have a pile of rejects and failures that would justify a car boot sale table all by themselves. So it was with a mixture of excitement and trepidation that I took this little gadget to the cash desk, hoping it would finally turn out to be ?the...
...philadeplphia extra light was founded by a American milkman by back in 1872, which is a long time ago, I am really suprised the Kraft company make a time line story about this.
I am sure most people are familiar with the kraft Philadelphia Television advert from a few years ago which I will not bother talking about in too great detail as it showed a beautiful female sitting down on a Sun Bed ouside on a warm summer's day looking to enjoy herself by eating the original version of Philadelphia spread.
So here I am now reviewing kraft's extra Light Spread. I am thinking to myself, what would the Television advert look like now. This part of the opinion is where it shall end. The Product itself was launched in 2001 with less than six per cent fat content inside. Today it contains four point seven grams of fat.
Basic ingredients...
