Yes they only had a week left before their sell by date but at five for a quid even if I end up throwing a few away it?s still a bargain! Maybelline dream matte mousse is a good, light foundation.

Advantages: Very light and blends very well, leaving an almost flawless effect.
Disadvantages: Very few, although it does not suit dry skin.

...I personally think that this foundation is an excellent buy! I had been staying at my boyfriends house and had ran out of my usual foundation so he offered to go and buy me some. I forgot to mention my skin tone and which brand to buy but was pleasantly suprised when he came back with Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Sand. The sand colour was normally a shade darker than I would have chosen for myself as I am quite fair, however I was pleased because although slightly dark it was so cheap for the quality that I would not be losing anything. It also helps that it blended in beautifully with my natural skin tone so even though I could tell that it was slightly too dark, it was hardly noticeable at all, and did the job of brightening my skin without leaving thick orangy lines around my face. I like pots because unlike tubes of foundation, I can see how much is left, and can get right to the last little bit- no waste for me. Tubs are also handy for getting exactly the right amount of the product. Too often I squeeze a tube, and lots of the stuff squirts out- far too much for my face, so down the sink it goes. Unfortunately, the tub is glass, and having a dread of glass smashing on tiled floors, I would have preferred a plastic tub, but I suppose the product must keep better in glass.
