Thats why I decided to pick up some veggie sausages from the chiller section of my local supermarket - I'm not vegetarian, but I was curious to see how these measured up . Now, I've tried veggie sausages of various kinds in the past - cheesy leeky glamorgan sausages for example, and vegetarian hotdogs . But these, Lincolnshire Style Veggie Sausages were new to me . Batemans Beer Festival, small but very good.

Advantages: Small but every bit as good as any big festival
Disadvantages: none at all if you get there for the beer.

...Bateman?s Brewery is in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire, on route to Skegness. Access is easy by train with a station at Wainfleet or by road just follow the A52 to Skegness and turn off at Wainfleet and follow the signs for Bateman?s or just look for the mill. I work on their Beer Festivals, and it is great fun. This year they had 10 barrels, which is a modest amount, but as it runs from Friday night until they run out on Saturday it can be just enough. We sold a lot on Friday and we bumped into a few people on the Saturday night in Boston who had travelled over for the festival and where disappointed that there was no beer left. So just for those who didn?t get a taste these are the beers of the festival. BACKGROUND: My boyfriend Robert and I wanted to go on holiday with his best mate Richard and his girlfriend Michelle so we collected tokens from my parents' Daily Express for their holiday offer. We then decided we needed a stop off en-route to Gt Yarmouth and this attraction was just over the 2 hour marker from home.
