...The Bone Vault written by Linda Fairstein is the latest book that I have just read. I have not read any of this Author's previous works although I was aware that the predecessor to this novel, the Deadhouse, was an International best seller. This book fits neatly into the category of crime fiction but the authenticity of how Met Assistant DA Alexandra Cooper handles the crimes in this gripping story is what sets this book apart from many books on a similar theme that I have read. This may have something to do with the fact that the Author of this work, Linda Fairstein is America's foremost prosecutor of crimes, specialising in the area of sexual assault and domestic violence. Fairy Frolics (Swallowing Darkness - Laurell K. Hamilton)

Advantages: fun, occasionally
Disadvantages: awful writing

...character that turns up (especially the fey males) is simply very, very boring. The language doesn't exactly soar either, with a plodding, unbelievably wooden dialogue, frequent repetitions that should have been edited out, a surfeit of unnecessary adjectives and and occasional but very grating clash of modes (as a single example: "my mother's emotional ambivalence towards me" doesn't fit with high epic style of the sequence in which it's included, but there are many others). Still, "Swallowing Darkness", while by no means the best in its sub-genre, is not entirely dreadful either. I wasn't tempted to seek out previous books from the series nor other novels by Laurell K. Hamilton (she also authored a long series about Anita Blake, the vampire hunter), but I read this one in two days while recovering from a 'flu and it was fun. As a fantasy...

Linda McCartney pies- popular with vegetarians and meat eaters

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Lovely Linda feeds us well

...This is an opinion close to my heart - junk food. I decided to take the plunge and become a vegetarian in 1985, just before my son was born, and having decided to do so, then panicked about what I would actually eat! I had tried to be a veggie earlier but due to the difficulty with mixing nuts and grains and keeping my proteins and iron up, I found it was too awful and gave up. By the mid eighties, there were lots of veggie ready meals in the freezers and it was quite easy to make the change at this point. Findus were quite innovative in the field and kept me fed. ...I seem to have this awful habit of trying something, loving it, stocking up on it and then going off it in a big way. I think its because I have been a veggie for so many years and it really used to be hard to vary my diet as there were not enough products on the market. So whenever something nice comes out that I like I stock up b4 they take it off the market. As happened with Linda Mcartney Italian Style Toppers which were delicious, remember them? well anyway they stopped making them, or if they didnt they are impossible to find and I was heartbroken. Anyway getting to the point, these sausages really are presented nicely in a lovely red box.It says 'a delicious blend of cereal and pea protein with sundried tomato pieces and herbs'.
