...I have recently sold my 60GB PS3 'Phat' and replaced it with a 250GB Slim model and so far I couldn't be happier with it.

For 99% of people this will be the key area that the console has to perform in - and it does. I've played a wide variety of games on it since I bought it including FIFA, Call of Duty, Assassins Creed 2 and various demos. All of these play very smoothly and the graphics are of a very good high-definition quality.
I can see no difference between the performance of the original 'Phat' models and the 'Slim' model.
~~~ Blu-Ray Player ~~~
So far the only Blu-Ray movie I have watched on the 'Slim' is Transformers 2. I have watched parts of it on both a stand-alone Blu-Ray player and on the original PS3 and again I can see no difference.
The picture quality is very bright...

Transfer for Airport to Lindos
This can be a little scary, as the driver's batter along these long and open roads with not a care in the world. Or so it appears. It takes about 45/55 mins to get to Lindos.
Lindos its self is very hilly and we would not recommend it to anyone with walking difficulties.

Lindos is all focused around one area; we referred to this as the down town. Not as bad as it seems. It's just that in order to get to the town you had to navigate a rather hilly...

Review of Lindos (Rhodes)
Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live
...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis).
Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD.
Sound-Yeah, ok...
Advantages: Quiet enough but with the option of a more lively time. The food, the people, the beaches and the weather, Disadvantages: Hills may not be suitable for some people. The weather, sometimes it can be TOO hot.
...I'm tempted not to say how good Lindos is just in case too many people start going there! I returned to Rhodes after visiting Lindos 10 years ago, I'd always said I'd go back, I just wish I'd not left it so long. The village can only be described as picturesque, set into a hillside and made up of small, white, flat roofed houses, most of which are hundreds of years old. Overlooking the village is the ancient Acropolis, well worth a trip upto, though walking is a bit of a trek. You can take a donkey up there but personally, I find it a bit cruel to have some poor animal carry my 14 stone up a mountain. The other consideration is that you can easily get ringworm off them!!
During a two week stay, we visited many restaurants and I can honestly say, I didn't find a bad one among them, though I can recommend Villa Della Pasta, near...

...After a very negative experience last year which resulted in a last minute booking in Rhodes and being stuck in the resort of Faliraki (with my thirteen year old daughter) the only good thing to come out of the week was a day trip to Lindos. We loved it so much we booked to come back again, but this time for a week.
We booked through our local travel agent and our holiday company was olympic travel, we had great flights and good transfers, though be prepapred for a bit of a wait at Rodes airport as everyone is rounded up and onto the buses that will take you to your accomodation.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning at Mary apartments, this was a dream for us as it was one of the old Sea Captains houses that Lindos is famous for. Be prepared though because Greece is basic, very basic but we did have a lrage fridge...

I bought my SP122 at Argos over two years ago along with a compatible and matching Acoustic Solutions SP101 Amplifier, Acoustic Solution SP111 DAB/FM Tuner and a pair of Acoustic Solution AVCS Column Stereo Speakers. This is an easy to use and uncomplicated CD unit. It's easy and straight forward to set up and attach to other units. I must admit though, it looked much better in the Argos catalogue than it does now that I have it set up in the living room. It's kind of plain in appearance, there are no fancy glowing lights. ...Lindos is excellent, we stayed in the Lindos Memories just outside of the town, Lindos town was a short Taxi ride away only a couple of Euro's. Lindos is a very old town, very hilly with narrow winding streets, with the Acropolis at the top of the cliff. We actually had our best holiday ever in Lindos.
The weather was extremely hot as it is in the south of the Island, and it can be very windy. Be very careful during the day as you can burn very easily and bring plenty of cool clothes as it wasn't much cooler on a night. Try and stay in a Hotel with Air conditioning if possible, you'll need it.
We spent many a pleasent evening wandering around the narrow streets, looking for somewhere to eat. There are many restaurants in Lindos Most have roof Terraces with views across the bay and up to the Acropolis. Our favourite reastaurant was...

I joined slimming world in April 2001 and reached my ideal weight in February 2002 and became a target member. This was achieved by attending every week, and learning about how to eat healthy..... As a target member I can recomend slimming world as the best way to loose weight....

Review of Slimming World
Advantages: Excellent choice in food Disadvantages: £4.50 per week and a £10 joining fee
...I have been a memeber of slimming world since september 2007 and i am still attending every wee which for me is an achievement in itself. Slimming world is a slimming club that you pay a weekely fee to attend this fee is £4.50 which can become quite expensive but they do offer count down packages where you pay for your weeks in advance and can get weeks for free.
For me i joined slimming world after I gained lots of weight after having my son and also through a diet of mainly high fat, high sugar foods which i am now not ashamed to admit. Life for us was pretty much one big takeaway so in september I decided that I needed to do something about it so off i went to my local group in Barry.
Upon arriving at my group I was made so welcome my consultant was a wonderfuly bubbly lady who made me laught, she didnt judge me and didnt make...

Review of Slimming World
Advantages: Good way to lose weight, Support groups to help, Motivated and Enthusiastic Leaders Disadvantages: It is thought to be expensive, but you are getting a lot of support.
...Being overweight for a few years now, I decided to try Slimming World to help. Being in my early 20's, I want to look and feel healthy! I'd tried other diets before, and the weight came off, but as soon as I stopped going to the meetings it all piled back on.
I decided to go to Slimming World as 2 other women where I work had started the week before. From what they said it sounded simple and so I went along.
The meetings are weekly, and living in Southampton, there were loads of meetings to choose from. They have them most days of the week and at different times, so you can choose when and where you go.
Going with friends has been really good for me. As quite a shy person, I probably wouldn't go on my own, so its a good thing to have people you know with you. Saying that, I was shocked that there were about 30 people...
