...The Linksys WAG160N N300 is an ADSL2+ wireless modem router, meaning it has a a modem built in. It is for use with BT Internet connections rather than for use with a Cable broadband connection (i.e. Virgin) although a Cable version is also available. It?s an ADSL2 router, which means it supports the newer ADSL standard, which could mean faster transfer speeds although this really depends on your line quality, distance from Exchange, service with ISP, etc. The router currently costs £74.99 from PC World but a bit less at £59.99 on their website. A good wireless solution for older laptops

Download Speed Speed of download is dependant upon so many variables (website, wireless router, time of day, weather!) that it is difficult to judge download speeds of a card with any authority, other than to say along side other laptops it seems to be no slower nor faster than them. Support The website support is quite poor, i went to see if there was an updated driver or anything of use and it was an incredibly difficult website to navigate, not the cards fault (that was after all connecting me to the internet to look in the first place), but say I upgraded to Vista then it may become an issue. ...This product is fantastic. I had no problems setting it up. Instant connection, has 1 wan port, 4 lan ports, 3 wireless aerials, and a power input. It has a massive range even through walls. My connection isnt fast enough to eve get close to the 100+ mbs this bad boy can produce. This router is awesome. Doesnt break, easy set up. Massive range, from a respected company. Wide support, and upgrade in firmware has fixed the bugs. I thought this product might be faulty when i got it, was a little worried, but this blew my expectations out the window. Featuring n, g, b and a connections means it a so versatile, i can have 4 connections all on different waves. ...This is a Lynksys Wireless-G range extender. It is for a network, whether home or office, that needs more reach on it that save the hassel of buying more routers. This Range extender from Linksys is a very useful piece of kit. Was very easy to set up (once I typed the correct MAC address into my gateway) and provides the range I need to go over about 30 metres and through several big thick brick walls. I was having trouble with just my router so i turned to the internet and this is what i found. I combined it with a new antenna on my PC and my signal is now 5 bars! Much better than a half of one! After purchasing a laptop it became apparent that I wouldnt want to run a cable from my broadband box to my laptop in order to use the internet especially when this is already plugged into my PC.
