MAC lipstick

...I love MAC lipsticks! I fist discovered them about 4 years ago and haven't looked back since! I do still use other brands like Dior, Lancome, Clinique and Urban Decay, but when I want a nice, vibrant lippy that will stay put, I always go for my MAC! I own about 30 odd MAC lipsticks and my shades vary from nude, to pinks, purples, reds and the odd blue. I love to experiment with different looks and MAC definitely helps me to achieve that! I often fall in love with their limited edition shades, but sadly for me they are limited edition and I either have to wait around for a relaunch or try and get it from Ebay or perhaps they pro stores. The lipsticks are very smooth and apply nicely and evenly and feel very comfortable on the lips. They stay put as well and even when I don't use a lip liner, I don't have problems with them bleeding...

Review of MAC Lipstick

MAC Lipstick in Saint Germain (Amplified)

Advantages: lasts well, vivid colour, moisturising
Disadvantages: a little pricey

...I've been trying to find the perfect pink lipstick for a while now, and after looking on MACs UK website (www.maccosmetics.co.uk) I came across this lipstick (found under Products then Lips, then Lipstick). I'm not a fan of buying make up without seeing or testing it so I went to my nearest MAC store which is in Liverpool's Met Quarter. The staff were extremely helpful and very quick to help me. Staff will also advise on which colours suit your complexion, as well as a variety of other services (such as finding the perfect foundation for your skin tone). Are you paying for the lipstick or the case?

Advantages: Lovely silver case.
Disadvantages: Expensive.

...Clinique is a well known, albeit expensive, cosmetics company. They produce a variety of cosmetics, creams for all skin types, cleansers, toner, eyeshadow, lipstick, make up bags and much more. One of the best lipsticks available in my opinion!

Advantages: Great range of colours, Long lasting, Great colour payoff
Disadvantages: Some can dry the lips a little.

...MAC themselves admit that their lipsticks are "What Made Them Famous" and I wholeheartedly agree. Besides the huge range of colours and finishes available, it was in 1994 when they released 'Viva Glam' a deep red shade, whose entire selling prices was donated to Men, Woman and Children living with AIDS that people started to sit up and notice the brand. They now have a total of six charity shades, and I'm sure this is part of the reason they have grown to become such a cult name. Charity aside, there are many other reasons that MAC Lipsticks have become so popular. As stated before the sheer amount of shades available is probably one of them. Tesco's own brand lipstick

Advantages: cheap lasts along time
Disadvantages: limited range of shades

...Tesco's do arrange of make up under their own brand name of wait for it....Make up! They have got a small range of reasonably priced cosmetics. I cant comment on other items as I 've never bought them but their lipsticks are pretty good. the range of shades is a bit limited - its ok if you are a pretty pink or a burgundy wine fan. I bought a really nice pink one. The lipstick is very easy to apply - it doesnt drag on the lips and does not give you that dry sensation that some lipsticks give you . It also has pretty good staying power which is great. Its a good every day lipstick which wont break the bank! NB these lip sticks are not for people that have a nut allergy - this information is on large print sticker on the side of the packaging....
