My grandchildrens toys are stored in these.

I bought a pine multi unit system from Argos, I needed to buy some storage boxes to put their toys and clutter in that would slide into this unit. Now I did not really want plastic boxes ?.. But they were the most practical. I bought a pack of 6 Pack of 6, 32 Litre Stack 'n' Nest Boxes. This pack costs £7.99 that's a fair price for 6 boxes to store the grand children's toys in. These boxes are made out of plastic 3 red and 3 blue boxes in the set, that's good Adrian has the red ones Cassie the blue. Now I did not really want plastic boxes ?.. . ...We bought our Brabantia soft touch bin in about 2004.Although ours is the smaller thirty litre version i wanted to express that for once you do get what you pay for. Brabantia are a long established company with an excellent customer service department. My bin probably cost us at least £50.Obviously it was my wifes choice and not mine.I would have gone for a cheap one!! However it has stood the test of time and still looks as good as new. What really impressed me was their ten year guarantee given to their bins. I didnt really think there would be much to go wrong with a bin so threw away my receipt. Anyway two weeks ago my wife threw a heavy item in the bin and managed to break the catch on the bin lid. Now the lid would not stay shut. I checked out Ebay for a replacement lid and they were selling for about £17 plus postage...

Hey I've "Bin" and Bought One!

...off putting at first but to be fair if I wanted a sturdy bin this was an approximate price that I would have to pay whatever the brand! I purchased the bin and when it arrived I must admit I was impressed. The bin itself is made of chromium steel with a galfan coating to protect it. Good quality, hard wearing corrosion resistant materials. You can have a brilliant steel which I chose myself or you can have a brushed steel which is matt. It had a good solid feel to it, well worth the money I had spent. The overall height measures 28 inches and the diameter of the oval shaped bin is 48 inches. A good size bin. The volume capacity that I chose was 40 litres in gallons that would be 8.8 UK gallons or 10.6 US gallons. Brabantia bins range from 5 litres upwards. ...It would be if it wasn't for government duty. People complain about the high level of duty but I've been driving since 1976 and its always like that. There's been a recent outcry about the huge profits that oil companies are making , but this is from industrial oil , not from petrol sales. Garages will make less than 3p a litre on the sale of petrol, I bet they have more mark up on a mars bar! The government arrogant stance on petrol revenue reminded me of the tories, they just told the country that they (the country) wouldnt understand the complicated issues , amd inplied it was the greedy oil companies who were causing the high prices , and it was impossible to put in a tax that responds to chamges in prices. So what's VAT Tony? Duty is also a percentage tax so that responds to changes in prices so again bunkum from the government...

Review of Petrol Price Debate

2 litres of heaven

Advantages: It tastes like an Ice Cream Float
Disadvantages: There is no Ice Cream floating in it

...Coca-Cola have done it again.... they have given me another excuse to be fat. Normal, non diet, Coke is one of those drinks that I love but don't have very often (normally just a a couple of mega giant bottles at christmas) as it tends to make my teeth feel weird and it is basically not that good for you. Cherry Coke is lovely and I sometimes indulge in a small bottle on a hot day, but not often. The lemon one is a bit strange but OK... but the vanilla one..yummmmmmm. I know there is a diet version but as I can't stand the taste of sweetners I havent even tried it, so its piggy time for me as I sit here with my ice cold 2 litre bottle next to me (and a large beer mug to drink it from). Sometimes the staff are a little too pre-occupied to provide proper customer services, I recall an incident when the assistant failed to listen properly and charged me for the wrong pump, when I pointed this out he didn't really take much notice and my company paid about £8 for close on 50 litres of diesel.
