...It is hard to believe that it was as long ago as February 2003 that the digital/freeview channel BBC3 first ran a pilot episode of a new comedy called Little Britain. The response was fantastic and the creator's Matt Lucas and David Walliams were commissioned to write a full series of eight episodes, which were first broadcast on BBC3 in the September of the same year. ...Little Big Planet has had a lot of mention around the internet over recent months. Mostly, if i'm honest i ignored it all. Then a few days back I finally caved into it all. Not for me though, oh no, of course not. I bought "Little Big Planet" as a Christmas present for my wife, that turned into an anniversary present instead as I was itching to see what she would think. Its worth noting here that my wife has never been a gamer. Not in the normal sense and certainly not like me. She's your average girl. She enjoyed the sims and quite enjoys playing on the Wii when she goes to her friends, but that's about it. ...This Little Tikes Activity Gym is great for young children and creates a fun environment which is also safe. The activity gym comes in a large box which contained all the parts. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Looking at the gym all you needed to do is slot in the pieces. This was true as the pieces did have to be slotted together but getting them together was the hard bit. You need someone strong who can force the sections together but at least the instructions are easy to follow so you don't go wrong (imagine having to undo it and reassemble it!). The activity gym is brightly coloured meaning more fun for the children. Be warned that the colours do not remotely blend in with any surroundings so don't be alarmed when you have this bright coloured object in the middle of your garden. ...One of the presents my daughter received for her fourth birthday recently was this Peppa Pig Little Library collection. Although she is a big fan of Peppa Pig, I did wonder whether she might have outgrown these types of books but I was wrong. They are definitely books younger children will appreciate but she has happily sat and 'read' them many times too. I think that because each book has only a few words and a simple text, it is easy for her to almost memorise it all which makes her feel that she can read (just like her older sister!).
