...Myself and my boyfriend went to Thailand in October 2007, where we spent three nights in Bangkok and then a further 9 nights in Ko Samui. While we were in Ko Samui, we decided to hire out a Jeep so we were free to visit all the attractions we wanted to. One of these attractions was Paradise Park Farm. About Paradise Park Farm Paradise Farm Farm is located at the top of Khao Pom mountain and is set within tropical rainforest which makes for a lovely setting for this unique park. The park covers 20 acres and inside there are walking trails, picnic / resting areas, an infinity swimming pool, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and many different animals to see. Visitors to this attraction can take advantage of a guided tour round the park which is offered for free. However, we decided we would prefer to explore the park by ourselves...

Dick Whittington Farm Park

Advantages: So much to do inside and out!
Disadvantages: Still a bit of a work in progress

...The Dick Whittington Farm Park is a wonderful award winning childrens activity centre and a working farm, nestled in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside of Little London, Longhope. Conveniently situated just off the A4136 it isn't too far off the beaten track, but just enough to wallow in the tranquil 100 acre setting . But don't get too relaxed, this is a childrens activity park remember! We are lucky enough to live close to the farm park and visit it regularly, especially throughout the drier months when you can really take advantage of all that is on offer. Chapel Farm

Advantages: a nice break

...I fancied going away for the weekend but didn't want to go far or spend a fortune, I didn't even want to spend £100 a night for a basic hotel so I searched for guest houses in the lake district as we don't live far from there and the countryside is lovely. I couldn't find any vacancies so I suggested a caravan to my husband, he agreed as we both think it's great for children to be outside and they love it. I search the Hoseasons website and we decided to go on Friday after school and work etc and stay until Monday as the children were off school then. We wanted a fairly basic site as we were going to take games to play at night and the netball post and maybe the swingball. After looking I came across Chapel Farm Caravan Park in Little Asby. The Hoseasons site had a caravan available for 3 nights at a cost of £165, fairly cheap...

...As the summer holiday approaches I have been trying to think of different places to take my daughters for days out, especially looking for places that are not too costly. If you live in the Berkshire area and have younger children, an excellent place to visit is Bucklebury Farm. The farm is in the small village of Bucklebury which is probably about halfway between Reading and Newbury and is roughly six miles along the A4 from Junction 12 of the M4. There is a brown tourist signpost signalling where you leave the main road and then it is a couple of miles along some country lanes. There is quite a large free car park when you arrive. The farm is quite small but having said that is home to a host of different animals including four different breeds of deer. These are Sika, Fallow, Red and Axis deer. Marsh Farm - goatally brilliant or a pigs ear?

Advantages: Lots of educational activities, lots of animals, good play areas
Disadvantages: Overpriced, pigs made me sad, mermaids & pirate summer special wasn't very good, abit depressing

...Firstly I must apologise for that shockingly bad title! Marsh Farm Country Park is a working farm that is open to the public and is owned and managed by Essex County Council. It is situated in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex and is easy to find. It is signed up well from the main road alongside ASDA - I found it with no directions. There is a main carpark and an overflow carpark and although we visited in the summer holidays there were plenty of spaces to park in the main carpark. Marsh Farm opens at 10.00am daily (10.30 in winter months) and closes at 4.00pm or 5.00pm at weekends and school holidays (3.00pm in winter months). At the entrance are toilets and an indoor reception area. Inside the reception area is a desk to pay for your entry and a giftshop, although I recommend looking around the giftshop after you...

...I stayed at the Little Roadway Farm when I went to the Oceanfest weekend held at Croyde and Woolacombe. I am by no means fussy when it comes to camping and the great outdoors etc in fact i thouroughly enjoy the whole getting back to nature experience, but this place just takes the biscuit. Firstly, it is quite hard to find, there is a small sign pointing directly oopositte it but if you blink you miss it! Luckily you can see it from the road which runs parrallel to it. Before i go any further, i have to say it is just a field. Well, its two fields that have a shack that vaguely resembles a shop and a small toliet block. Because of this, the price is really low. ...Parkers Farm is a caravan and camping site situated on a farm near to Ashburton in Devon. We stayed there in September 2005 from a Friday to Monday. GETTING THERE The caravan park was very easy to find, being just off the main Exeter to Plymouth road, the A38. A detailed map and instructions were sent to us with the booking form, but basically we just had to look out for the "Plymouth 26 miles sign" before taking the second left turning. Beware of missing this turning, however, as if you miss it, you have to turn around twice, because you can only access the road when travelling south. This was, frankly, a bit of a pain in the mornings, when we wanted to travel towards Exeter and had to drive down to Ashburton first to turn around. Graeanfryn Farm in North Wales - camping and caravanning site

Advantages: Not too far from Portmadog, sandy beaches around 1 mile away, prices quite reasonable
Disadvantages: Toilets/showers could have been a lot cleaner, terrible Welsh weather, not much space on site

...Graeanfryn Farm I stayed here earlier this Summer holiday with my family. We had just bought a new touring caravan and this was the first place we tried it out in. We have been to many camping sites before we bought our new caravan, staying in a tent, but after freezing half to death and getting soaking wet (as well as having to listen to the whole sites arguments/ snoring etc through the thin fabric walls of a tent) too many times in our "waterproof" tent we'd just had enough, and decided a caravan would be better to suit our needs. Location Graeanfryn Farm is in Nefyn, we had stayed in this town before and that is why we choose to come to this site for our first trip in the caravan - if anything went wrong at least we knew the town quite well and wouldn't get lost on our way back home and also its a lovely place...

Britain's makes authentically detailed farm equipment models scale 1:32 There are tractors combiners and other vehicles plus animals for the farm. So to tend the animals, drive the vehicles we need some people. The people in this farm family group are about 5cms tall .Recommended for over 3 year olds. This farm family mum, dad, girl and dog are dressed ready to work on the farm. They look a bit old fashioned really. A great day out at Odds Farm!

...Based just outside of High Wycombe in Wooburn Common, Odds Farm Park is fantastic for EVERYONE. Its a great way to get the kids out in the fresh air, running about and learning stuff too. We discovered the wonders of Odds Farm Park with our two little boys and regularly go there with Grandparents, uncles, aunts and friends because there really is something for everyone. The farm is full of lots of animals (pygmy goats, rabbits, pigs, cows, chickens, sheep, ducks, guinea pigs- i'm sure there a others too!), aswell as 2 superb playground areas with swings slides, sandpits etc.(one for the really little ones and one for bigger kids), plus several tracks or areas for carting/ tractor trikes etc outside.
