My Little Cruiser
Review of Little Shield Lux Exercisers by
newby2
Advantages: I can now get the housework done
Disadvantages: none
...Billy Baby Walker/Exerciser
As Jack is not yet walking about I thought this would be the perfect solution to me getting things done around the flat and him not screaming the place down sat on the floor. My mother in law offered to buy us a walker and after looking at some rather expensive models I search online at Amazon and found this far more affordable one that is just as good.
I paid, or rather the other in law, around £35 for this Billy baby walker/exerciser and a little on top for posting but I do think it was worth every single penny. It arrived within a week and although it came in a few separate pieces it took no time at all to piece it together. Although the instruction leaflet was far too complicated for my other half and as usual I ended up throwing the instruction booklet away and sorting it out on my own. Much...

If you are using shield these are the best!
Review of Medela Nipple Shields by
HelenFlowers
Advantages: Help to prolong breastfeeding
Disadvantages: Occasionally tend to move
...I had my first daughter 6 weeks early and she had to be admitted to special care, due to the shape of me it was very hard to get a young baby to latch on to feed so the staff suggested a nipple shield.
I tried the Medela Shaped Shields, they are shaped so the baby is still in contact with the skin so bonding and milk supply are hardly affected. They helped my daughter to latch on and stay on, there was no stopping and starting with the shields, once she was on she stayed there until she had finished. I fed her with the help of these shields until she was a bigger baby and able to latch on herself.
I had the same problem with my youngest daughter and I used the shields again, and I am still feeding her.
They are very flexible, the teat part of the shield is smaller than other brands, ie. Avent and Boots. They are easy...

Looks are better,
Review of Little Shield St Moritz Tandem Pushchair by
Bens__mummy
Advantages: Read On.
Disadvantages: Read On.
...When we found out I was pregnant again and my son being still to young for a buggy board or to walk we where on the look out for a nice double buggy. We did come across one from Graco that did seem ideal but it did look rather to chunky for we wanted.
We then came across this one Little Shields St Moritz double pushchair. This one looked ideal for what we wanted and a nice price as well.
~~ What You Get In The Box~~
I was horrified when the delivery man came and handed me this box. I thought that I was going to have to put the whole of this together. You don't though as you do have to put the wheels on and the brake and a few other bits.
Pushchair
Wheels
Nuts and bolts
Brake bar
Rain cover
Instructions
Hood
Play tray.
~~ Fixing The Pushchair. ~~
This is quite hard to figure. The wheels...

Let Good Thoughts Be Your Sword and Shield
Review of The Witch's Shield: Protection Magick and Phychic Self-Defense - Christopher Penczak by
Entwife
Advantages: Clear, practical, and compassionate.
Disadvantages: I only wish more people would adopt these attitudes
...Warning: This work, The Witch's Shield by Chris Penczak, deals with issues of Psychic Self-Defense and Protective Magics. If you do not believe or are not interested in these concepts then Do Not bother with this work...or this review! Thank you...
Right out of the gate, Mr. Penczak presents us with a clear, well organized and complete list of all concerns when pondering the subject of psychic self-defense. Beginning with a look at why one would need what is, essentially, protection magic, Penczak moves us through the concepts of how we draw attention to ourselves, what we may be defending ourselves from and illustrates how in many ways, we are actually our own worst enemies.
Often times, we draw the wrong sort of attention to ourselves, don't listen to our instincts, and second guess ourselves into a corner. Awareness and self...

Rainbow six three - Raven shield
Review of Tom Clancy's Raven Shield (PC) by
black_ice
Advantages: Excellent graphics, sense of realism
Disadvantages: slightly repetitive, hard
...When I purchased Raven shield, but was packaged in an exciting cardboard about the same size as a DVD case, which opened up revealing 2 discs and an instruction manual.
It contains a brief introduction explaining the storyline and what the aim of the game is.
The rest of the manual is in depth, and explains clearly how to play the game.
The game its self requires an 800mhz pIII of amd athlon, 128mb ram ( it struggled with my 256mb) 32mb video card and 2GB of HD space.
I would recommend at least a 1ghz processor with 512 mb ram and a fairly new video card if game play is to be perfectly smooth.
Game installation was fairly quick, 5 mins, pictures of up and comming "Clancy" games entertaining you as you wait.
I was able to have the graphic setting on "medium", and it did look excellent. Human characters looked realistic...

Unless by Carol Shields
Review of Unless - Carol Shields by
karenmorash
Advantages: speaks to women, interesting story
Disadvantages: none
...'Unless' was Carol Shields last book before she sadly passed away, and her most striking. The story follows a woman who writes cheery romance-type novels, whose daughter decides to drop out of society and sit on a street corner in Toronto. Whilst trying to figure out what led her daughter to make such a radical life change, Rita thinks about her own role as a mother, a female writer, and the place women hold in western society.
Shields wasn't an overtly feminist writer; her books looked at women through the banalities and simple acts of life, yet what she has to say in 'Unless' is powerful. Her writing is also at its sharpest here, with resoundng metaphors and simple sentences which strike directly into the heart of the reader.
Above all, this is a fascinating story and character study, and Shields keeps us on our toes, guessing...

The shield is worth taking
Review of Shield, The: Complete Season One by
harj123
Advantages: hardhitting,realistic,brilliantly acted
Disadvantages: too brutal in parts
...There have been many cop shows both here and in the states, but none as hardhitting or brutally realistic as the Shield. It is a show which literally grabs you from the word go.The camerawork on the show is dizzying at times,as you feel you are moving with the cops on there many chases and investigations. It delves into the underbelly of street life in all its rawness.Strong storylines have included gang wars, beatings, drugs and murders. It is an unusual cop show because the main character Vic Mackey is almost an antihero because whilst he wants to clean up the streets he also wants to grab some of the illegal money for himself and his crew.
The show is set in a busy policestation in LA.It is run by Captain Acaveda, who also wants to run for city mayor. His other main aim is to bring down his corrupt strike team led by Mackay, whose results...

I spent too many nights out in this town
Review of South Shields in General by
tommartin
Advantages: It is not a well known tourist place so the price of accomodation remains chea.
Disadvantages: It is a little cold, take some thick pullovers.
...are nothing special:- The Sea Hotel which is the biggest is very expensive for what you get but has a lovely veiw as it overlooks the beach, there are a few smaller ones scattered around towards the beach but they too are very expensive for what they offer. The best advice would be to stay at a guest house, you will find loads to choose from not far from the metro station (they can be found if you walk straight down the High Street. The price of a double room in a guest house is around £15.00 per night depending on the time of year, in summer it might be a little more.
Once settled in your room it is time to descover what South Shields has to offer!
First is South Shields sea front, you have about 3 miles of golden sands with quite a large fair ground positioned just behind it (great for the kids), then there is the park (The Marine Park...

NIPPLETASTIC!
Review of Avent Nipple Shields by
marylou2u
Advantages: Relieves pain, prevents distress for mother & baby
Disadvantages: Midwives tend to discourage them
...The pain of sore nipples is unbearable and I would advise any new breastfeeding mother not to struggle through it as I did when I had my first child. Being a young mother I didn't feel as confident to query what the midwife told me and went along with whatever was suggested to me. The problem I had was sore nipples, and was told there was not a lot you could do other than grit your teeth and the pain in effect would toughen your nipples (this was only 8 years ago) I did live through the ordeal with no help and successfully breastfed my daughter for 18 months. At this point I wasn't aware nipple shields even existed.
Between my first and second child I became a La Leche League Counsellor to help other mothers with problems they may encounter in any area of breastfeeding.
My second child came along. I was older and wiser...

The History of South Tyneside
Review of South Shields Museum by
bluejules
Advantages: Free entry, interesting, easy access
Disadvantages: None
...I first went to this museum with my sister when I was about 8 or 9 years old. When looking for something to do on Monday, I asked my friend, Emma, if she wanted to go here with me since I haven’t been for ages. My older sister, Joanne, lives in South Shields so we met her and my niece (23 months) at the museum on Monday morning.
I got slightly lost getting to South Shields as I took the wrong turn at a roundabout, but as it was my furthest venture in my car on my own (about 25 miles) I was still quite pleased I found it without too much hassle! On arriving at South Shields I met my sister and followed her into the town centre, as I don’t know my way around South Shields. (The museum is signposted though)
The entry into the museum is free and although we just spent about an hour and a half there (my sister was going to Uni. – and I...
