Advantages: A few great programmes
Disadvantages: Loads of poor programmes

...Living is one of those channels that most people don’t even bother looking to see what they are showing. People automatically dismiss it as poor quality programmes. And for the most of the time, they are right. But if you catch the right programme then you could be pleasantly surprised. You might see the hilarious "Will and Grace", or catch the low quality but high laugh content "Jerry Springer". Living also broadcasts "Charmed" a popular drama based on three twenty something witches, which will appeal to fans of Buffy. But the quality is few and far between, On the whole Living’s programmes are second rate chat shows and made for Tv Movies. Living needs to buy more quality programmes.... Read review

...'Live From Albertane' is a live album recorded on Hanson’s tour in the Summer of 1998. This album contains all the singles from Middle Of Nowhere as well as some of the songs featured on 3 Car Garage. There are also some cover songs as well as a new song called Ever Lonely which I think is excellent. This CD shows how well Hanson can actually play and sing live. Well worth buying, especially if you liked Middle Of Nowhere. Overall a great album and also a good souvenir for anyone who managed to go to any dates on the Albertane tour.... Read review

...I bought this without really knowing what I was getting, so I was sort of heading into the unknown. I had no idea what Coldplay were like live. Was this going to be amazing? Or could it be that it was only OK? As a band, Coldplay have come out with stadium filling tunes such as Clocks, Yellow and The scientist. Live, they do tend to sound the same as on record, but the band are clearly putting their all into the live show, and the lighting set is quite a sight as well. It's amazing to see the fans join in on singalong songs like In My Place, and Yellow. This is a good live show, if not an excellent one, if only because the band would probably be better just experimenting a little with the live sound in the way that Radiohead do. This brings diversity, and the knowledge that you won't get the same song twice in live shows. The bonus... Read review

...What can i say about what is simply the best radio station in the world. Radio five live carries upto the minute live news from around the world. Its sport coverage is second to none, especially the football coverage. It covers more live matches evry year than sky TV, On digital, and all the terrestial stations put together. Whats more, the commentators make it so lively, and the descriptions of the matches so good, it is more exciting than watching it TV. There is all the latest in travel news, weathwer news, and Victoria Derbyshire has got the sexiest voice on radio! What more could you want.... Read review

Advantages: A great live release from one of the great live acts of the last twenty-five years
Disadvantages: A lot of music if you're not a die hard fan, it's also pretty expensive and a newer, cheaper live release will be available imminently

...Never let it be said that Bruce Springsteen does things by half; while most of today's live acts are happy to churn out run-of-the-mill live albums every 5 years or so, when The Boss finally released a live recording it was something to write home about and really gives a flavour of how good he is on stage. Live recordings made with the E-Street Band (who he recently again toured with after a long absence, a tour from which a new live release is due in April 2001) between 1975 and 1985, the 3-CD set contains 40 tracks making up nearly four hours of music and every minute of it is fantastic; no Springsteen fan should be without this. The tracks are very different to their studio counterparts and he clearly puts his all into every one. The energy and musicianship is beyond reproach. ...Spoken of in the same breath as Deep Purple's Made In Japan or The Who's Live At Leeds, this has long been considered one of the all-time classics of live albums from the early 70's, and indeed, of all time. It is the live album that all Heep live albums are compared to. And deservedly so. Except for an overlong drum solo (of course, that's what I think of nearly all drum solos!), this is an album with no filler, just straight ahead heavy rock 'n' roll. Of course, there are those who have never liked the Rock 'n' Roll Medley that closes the album, but I've always loved it. It shows what Heep concerts are all about: fun, exciting entertainment. This album also contains what many consider to be the greatest moment in all of Heepdom - Live 1973's version of Circle Of Hands. Ken Hensley's organ solo on Gypsy just might be the greatest live... ...Here are the collected stories of a number of people living in Los Angeles but it is certainly no ordinary book of short stories. Their lives interlink and fuse in unexpected and at times bizarre ways the narrative blurring the lives and internal dialogues of the various characters. Gender, age, class and ultimately identity seem unstable in a world which seems profoundly ill at ease. This is my personal favourite of all of Easton-Ellis’s works and may well be the one to read if you think you will be put of by the misogyny and violence of American Psycho. Simply outstanding....
