...~~~HAMBURG MARRIOTT HOTEL~~~ As well as having stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Hamburg several times, I have also stayed at the Renaissance sister hotel, the Marriott, located on ABC Strasse in the exclusive shopping and dining part of the city of Hamburg. The hotel is well located and transfer time from the airport (Hamburg) is under 20 minutes or so with taxi fares also being under 20Euros (£13-£15). Just outside o f the hotel you will find a glittering array of upmarket shops and small boutiques and the hotel is located in a very quiet area and all of the rooms are exceptionally quiet. Arriving at the hotel: As you enter the hotel, the lobby is sumptuous and well-kept, and there are always plenty of bellhops to help with your bags. Relax at the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel

Advantages: Great location and friendly welcome

Wunderbar Hamburg Germany

...Hamburg Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany and has a rich and varied history and in the modern age is still world famous for it's port, tourist attractions and the Beatles in the 1960s as well as one of the recent James Bond films having been set here in the 1990s! I first visited Hamburg when I was six or seven and had family living over there and I am really pleased that I did as otherwise it is certainly one of those cities that you could easily miss and that would be a shame! Hamburg is a great cosmopolitan city that will appeal to old and young alike. Brilliant for a weekend getaway to Hamburg

After looking at various hotels we decided to stay in the Best Western St Raphael. Location: The hotel is only a few minutes away from the main train station (and U-bahn stops - Hauptbahnhof Nord and Hauptbahnhof Sued) and also the bus station so if you fly into Luebeck then you're only a few minutes from your bus to or from the airport which is especially handy as the flights often arrive or depart early or late at night. None of us are great fans of burger "joints" but decided that we would give it a try, as from the outside it looked modern and clean and although busy not bursting at the seams as some place are up there. Also it was great to go somewhere "non smoking". On entering it reminded us of restaurants in America, as ,you order everything (food and drinks) at the counter, pay and then proceed into the main eating area and place your order number on the table for the server to see. Disadvantages: Some lag, temptation to spend more money on extras

...Xbox Live is good value compared to some other online subscriptions e.g. World of Warcradt or Everquest as with these you pay everymonth just for one game, whereas with xbox live you only pay once to go online with pretty much all your games. You then get tempted, however, to pay for extra online contect such as extra levels, characters, backdrops for your xbox live dashboard, arcade games etc. etc. So it's never as cheap as it seems! The service on xbox live is good and it's rare to have connection issues so gameplat online tends to be smooth. Occasionally you may shoot at someone only to find they already moved- lag is rare but does happen and can be annoying. The range of games that can be played online is excellent, and isn't just shooting and fighting! Guitar hero plays online brilliantly with options for guitar battles...
