Liverpool John Moores University - GREAT PLACE

Advantages: Great social life, friendly and very helpful
Disadvantages: University Campus can be quite far apart.

...I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2005 where I did my degree, I loved it that much I went back to do a professional post-graduate course and will finish this in June of this year. Although I will be extremly pleased to be finishing my education I will sadly miss the university. they have great opportunites for students. They advertise all there events etc within the campus' and libraries, they also advertise in the students union and send out regular emails letting everyone now what events are happening and where and when they will take place. The university itself has alot of campus centres which is not so great as they are scattered around the town in various locations with some not being so easy to get to. Yes they do provide transport to and from the centres on a regular day to day basis. The students union...

Liverpool University is A great Place

Advantages: City centre campus..Good all round reputation. Friendly
Disadvantages: Some modern buildings are ugly

...I chose to read poltical science at Liverpool mainly on account of advice I received at my college in Malaysia and from my father,who was formerly an academic.Both the College staff and my father told me that the University had an excellent academic reputation and was renowned as a friendly place.The city also is very well known outside of Britain and is I guess best known after London. They were both reliable sources of information. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the U and found that academic standards were very high, The vast majority of the lecturers were helpful,knowlegeable, and interacted well with students.The student accommodation=I stayed in Mulberry Court and Tudor Court-was very good,the bedroom was comfortable and the communal kitchen well equipped. The campus is just off the city centre and so convenient for shops...

Review of Liverpool University

Once upon a time, in Liverpool...

Advantages: An excellent museum dedicated to the Fab Four, suitable for all age groups
Disadvantages: Some of the headsets are a bit dodgy (it was just mine) and some displays not working

...This time during the month of Beatlemania, instead of just writing about the bands albums, films and death theories, I wanted to write about some of the ways in which Liverpool still celebrate the lives of their favourite sons (beside the football players!). Although Ringo made a few disparaging comments towards his hometown a year or two ago, the phrase ?everyone has to start somewhere? springs to mind and ? although I may be a little bias ? I would have to say that Liverpool is very much the land of opportunity compared to where I live! Liver-cool university?

Advantages: Cheap, fun, friendly people, good nightlife
Disadvantages: scallies and tracksuits and orange people

...I'm a first year at Liverpool University reading Medicine, and so I thought I'd write a review on the place so potential applicants get a feel for the place. <<Campus>> The campus is just attached to the city centre and merges connects up to parts of the John Moores University campus. It is quite nice and some parts are under development. Some buildings are pleasent whilst others are grungy and horrible, but that's to be expected I suppose. <<Halls>> University halls are situated a good 2/3miles from the actual campus, the bad thing being that you have to bus-in everyday, but this is balanced by the beatufil area the halls are in. They are surrounded by varioius areas of parkland in the Mossley hill area of Liverpool, which gives them a relaxing community sort of feel. ...Having attended the finest of 3 universities in Liverpool, I should be an expert on telling you why LJMU is the best Uni... I did argue that point many times during my three years their. The truth, however, is I am not sure I can say LJMU is the best... it certainly is fine, but as I am not a serial student, I can't compare the university with any others... But this is my view of Liverpool John Moores University. I studied Broadcast Engineering, graduating in 2000 with a 2/2 - the best kind of degree to get! The first thing that struck me was how different the course was to the open day example. We were shown around all the flash equipment, and even had a friendly - mock lecture... which I enjoyed. If you take a walk down to the Pierhead you can gaze at the Liver Birds on top of the Liver Buildings. There are lots of old buildings in the city that give you a real sense of the city's history. If you want to go a little further afield whilst you're in Liverpool, a good tip (for the summer) is to head North to Formby and the surrounding area. Here you will find the Red Squirrel nature reserve and a nice beach and sand dunes. You can get a train to Formby from Liverpool Central station, or alternatively drive there. UPDATED Liverpool FC Treble winners 2001

Advantages: On their Day can Beat absolutely ANYONE
Disadvantages: Cant we just win something the easy way for once

...Oh well, I think its about time I re-wrote my opinion on Liverpool, I wrote the original opinion earlier in the season, when we where showing terrible inconsistency, but it seems this got sorted out, as we went on to win a “HISTORIC TREBLE”, by winning the Worthington Cup, The FA Cup and the U.E.F.A Cup, a fete that has never been done by any English team, and hopefully we can round off a great season on Saturday, by gaining the third Champions League place, by beating Charlton Athletic. The Worthington cup was won in Cardiff on the 25th of February, by beating a very brave and committed Birmingham City, who took us all the way to penalties, after the match ended 1-1 after extra-time, maybe this was the warning to us Liverpool fans, that if we won this Treble, it would be at the cost of our Health and Sanity, as this was...
