QI - Quite Interesting
Advantages: A clever comedy panel shoq
Disadvantages: Some people might not 'get it'...
...Thou shall not question Stephen Fry?to quote the song ?Thou Shall Always Kill? by Scroobius Pip?and with the programme QI that shall always be the case.
Produced by Talkback Thames, QI (Quite Interesting) has been on our televisions since September 2003 running for six series, permanently hosted by Stephen Fry, it is a comedy panel show which always questions your own intelligence. Until late 2008 it was shown on BBC Two, but has since moved to BBC One?oh, and Dave of course, where it seems to be played religiously everyday along with Top Gear, Mock The Week and Fifth Gear. But never mind, at least that increases the number of people who?ve seen the show!!
The concept of the show works around Fry asking usually seemingly obvious questions with obvious answers? But most of the answers end up being extremely obscure, making it...

Once upon a time, in Liverpool...
Advantages: An excellent museum dedicated to the Fab Four, suitable for all age groups
Disadvantages: Some of the headsets are a bit dodgy (it was just mine) and some displays not working
...the river. Being small and ignorant, I don?t remember much about the day other than a dark corridor which lead to a place called ?The Cavern? and my Dad getting me a coin in the special machine that was squished into saying ?Penny Lane?.
Add ten years on from that memory and I?m not quite as unaware as I was back then and now-a-days, I seem to have a bit of a thing for learning about all things Beatle-esque. The museum situated in the mists of Albert Dock is The Beatles Story, a place where all Beatles obsessees go to marvel in their unhealthy hobby and jump around like lunatics when they come face to face with some rather interesting curios.
ABOUT THE BEATLES STORY
Currently speaking, The Beatles Story prides itself on being the only permanent Beatles themed exhibition in the world and takes advantage of the fact that it is set in...

Odeon - Liverpool's Number One
Advantages: Good sized screens, great auditoriums, caters for everyone,
Disadvantages: Popcorn sometimes cardboardy, expensive chocolate treats,
...them, including special booking rates.
* Conferences - Odeon Liverpool ONE can cater for regional meetings for up to 50 delegates or national conferences for up to 1679 (random number) and believe that hosting a conference or event at an Odeon cinema will give you 'an interesting and unique environment that will stimulate the delegates and get your meeting off to an exciting start'
Odeon Première Club
I think this is worthy of a review in its own right, so I'll just cover the basics. It's basically a reward card. Since they don't offer any kind of unlimited ticket card, as other chains do, they've come up with this reward scheme, whereby every pound you spend equates to a point, which build up and can be used to buy tickets or snacks.
However, it does come at a small cost. There are three packages:
*£1.99 - the card...

Liverpool in trouble
Advantages: One of the biggest clubs in Europe...
Disadvantages: ...going through their worst run in 50 years.
...Picture the scene; it's early November and after a 2-0 win against West Ham, Liverpool went seven points clear at the top of the Premiership and were striding towards a place in the next round of the Champions League, it appeared that it would have to take something very special to knock them out of their stride. Three months on and defeats to the likes of Middlesborough and Sunderland have seen Liverpool slump down the Premiership with no wins in eleven games and an early exit from the Champion League at the hands of little known Swiss club Basle. So where has it all gone wrong for the mighty reds?
Every pundit, fan and his dog has had their two pence worth. Excuses and reasons range from poor management and lack of commitment from the players, to wrong formation and wrong players. I think the problem is much simpler...

Now that's quite interesting....
Advantages: Hilarious, knowledge
Disadvantages: None
...WHAT IS QI?
QI is a panel game. QI stands for Quite Interesting. Panelists are given points for being correct or for being 'quite interesting'. QI is shown on BBC2 (at the moment it is on at 10pm on Sunday). When they show the new series you can see the next episode straight after on BBC4. There are also lots of repeats on my new favourite TV channel Dave (if you haven't seen this yet - tune in!).
WHO TAKES PART?
The host of QI is Stephen Fry, who I think is one of the funniest men in Britain. There are four panelists and all apart from one are changed every week. Alan Davies, who is always present on Fry's right-hand side has become something of an icon of the show. Other regular panelists include Jo Brand, Bill Bailey, Rory McGrath (who is amazingly knowledgeable), Jeremy Clarkson (hilarious) and Sean Locke.

Liverpool Football Club
Advantages: Great squad, great fans, great manager, great history
Disadvantages: No league title for 16 years
...the bad spotlight. He quickly regained his form and produced a man of the match performance against Manchester United to help Liverpool win the Worthington Cup.
More recently he has produced heroics that surely nobody could forget in the Champions League final. After seeming dead and buried at 3-0 down at half time Liverpool somehow levelled it with a magnificent second half performance. Extra time saw Jerzy make one of the best double saves ever from Andriy Shevchenko with just seconds on the clock. He then went on to produce heroics in the penalty shoot out and the rest, as they say, is history.
2. Jan Kromkamp
Born on 17th August 1980 in Makkinga, Holland, Jan is a recent addition to the squad. He started out with Go Ahead Eagles in 1998 and, after making 61 appearances, was snapped up by AZ Alkmaar. He rose to prominence thanks to...

Lively Liverpool
Advantages: I live here
Disadvantages: Some shops aren't here, the weather
...Whether you were born here, visit or just come to study here, Liverpool will always hold a special place in your heart.
Liverpool is one of those deceptively small cities that squeeze in so much - culture, entertainment, sports, religion? There is nothing that Liverpool does not have to offer.
CULTURE:
Liverpool has several theatres - The Empire (the largest and arguably the best), The Playhouse at Williamson Square, The Neptune on Hanover Street, The Unity Theatre, the Royal Court, Everyman and of course the Philharmonic Hall - so you're guaranteed to find something to suit your tastes, whether you want a concert, musical or play. There are also 3 museums - HM Customs & Excise National Museum which is inside the Merseyside Maritime Museum at Albert Dock (you can find out the history of Customs & Excise as well as the slave...

UPDATED Liverpool FC Treble winners 2001
Advantages: On their Day can Beat absolutely ANYONE
Disadvantages: Cant we just win something the easy way for once
...Oh well, I think its about time I re-wrote my opinion on Liverpool, I wrote the original opinion earlier in the season, when we where showing terrible inconsistency, but it seems this got sorted out, as we went on to win a “HISTORIC TREBLE”, by winning the Worthington Cup, The FA Cup and the U.E.F.A Cup, a fete that has never been done by any English team, and hopefully we can round off a great season on Saturday, by gaining the third Champions League place, by beating Charlton Athletic.
The Worthington cup was won in Cardiff on the 25th of February, by beating a very brave and committed Birmingham City, who took us all the way to penalties, after the match ended 1-1 after extra-time, maybe this was the warning to us Liverpool fans, that if we won this Treble, it would be at the cost of our Health and Sanity, as this was...

Liverpool...good,bad,ugly
Advantages: entertainment
Disadvantages: emotional rollercoaster
...Ah,now where do i start?
The love of my life and also the bain of it too.
Liverpool fc,the colourful, famous, entertaining, boring, frustrating and all be it said, somewhat disappointing of late.A team of super talented blokes that give me an emotional rollercoaster ride year after year.
I dont expect everyone to understand the passion of football and personally over the last 30 years i have been lucky enough to follow liverpool all over europe, some would say 'waste of money' others would say 'is it that important',well in a word yes it is.
Many sports offer the same sort of passion but when all said and done i think you cant beat football for its sheer entertainment value.
This is where i believe Liverpool hold the key to giving the fans what they want most of the time.
Anfield, the home of liverpool is a stadium where no other set...

Liverpool museum
Advantages: cheap day out
Disadvantages: a bit boring!
...I think the jury is still out on this one. Maybe I'm not so fussed on the liverpool museum because I visited the British museum in London last year which was excellent.
The one thing that actually annoyed me about this place too was the flights of stairs that you had to walk up to get to each floor. Although I believe that a lift is available for wheelchair access.
The rooms had some good displays but no actual facts for instance in the Greek room there where some large statues with plaques next to them. One plaque simply pointed out that the statue was of a ancient greek man! Fantastic but why? They werent original statues anyway! There was one of Zeus the greek god that was quite good.
Similar exhibitions included a display of a lion chasing an antelope. I didnt really get the whole idea of it. It was all pretty boring...
