As more and more of us are traveling to Australia, I think its useful to see what are hotels we are assured of, are actually what we are getting after thousands of miles of traveling to our dream destination. We booked The Travelodge Sydney because me and my partner thought its a reputable name, Travelodge all over the world. Fine within the UK, not great but always comes up to standard. ...Hotel Campanile (a French chain) is now well established as a chain throughout the United Kingdom so when I was looking for a room at quite short notice in Liverpool I did not hesitate to reserve one here despite the fact that I had never stayed in one before. Of the chain hotels which came up when I searched on the internet, this was the cheapest and the excellent location meant that I did not have to compromise. The main shopping area is just a few minutes away and tourist attractions such as The Beatles Story, the Tate Liverpool and The Albert Dock are practically on the door-step. Sydney Marriott hotel... the best i've ever seen!

Advantages: You can see the most amazing view of the harbour.
Disadvantages: it is a bit pricey, but it's absolutely worth it!

Location ---------- The Sydney Four Seasons hotel is located overlooking the city's famous Rocks district. This gives you very easy access to the ferries which can take you to all the other resorts. It is also a short and pleasant stroll to the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is also close to the city's shopping and business districts. To reach the hotel from the airport there is a shuttle service for a small fee and it will take about 20-30 minutes. Classy Liverpool Marriott

Advantages: Central, clean, helpful staff, good facilities

...Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Marriott for one night back in March 2007. The reception area in the Marriott is very nice and extremely clean. When checking in the receptionist was very friendly, offering us extra services and any help/advice we needed for our stay. The conceirge was also very polite, helping us in the lift and offering us help with our bags. The actual room was great, a lovely view looking onto some of Liverpool's historic buildings and the bed was very comfortable. The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was also very nice. We had a meal in the hotel and although the service was second to none, and the meal was beautiful, the pricing was extremely high. Once upon a time, in Liverpool...

Advantages: An excellent museum dedicated to the Fab Four, suitable for all age groups
Disadvantages: Some of the headsets are a bit dodgy (it was just mine) and some displays not working

...I stayed in this hostel my first night in Australia - i booked a single room cos I figured after 24 hours on a plane anda rriving in Sydney at 9pm all I would want to do is have a shower and go to bed!! It cost just 19 pounds for a single room which was great considering you would expect to pay at least 10 pounds for a dorm room in Sydney, even up to 20 pounds for a hostel like Wake Up! just a little further down on Pitt Street! The hostel is located right in the middle of Sydney, within easy walking distance (even if you arel ugging a 20kg backpack around with you!) of Central train station and Museum train station. Location This hotel is perfectly located a stones throw away from the action; a mere block away from Oxford St where you will find funky cafes, restaurants, Sydney's best choice of late bars for the clubbers among you and great shopping. Other nearby attractions Pitt Street Mall which is renowned for its shopping is less than a kilometre away as is Darling Harbour, the rocks, the opera house and the harbour bridge.
