Once upon a time, in Liverpool...

Advantages: An excellent museum dedicated to the Fab Four, suitable for all age groups
Disadvantages: Some of the headsets are a bit dodgy (it was just mine) and some displays not working

...This time during the month of Beatlemania, instead of just writing about the bands albums, films and death theories, I wanted to write about some of the ways in which Liverpool still celebrate the lives of their favourite sons (beside the football players!). Although Ringo made a few disparaging comments towards his hometown a year or two ago, the phrase ?everyone has to start somewhere? springs to mind and ? although I may be a little bias ? I would have to say that Liverpool is very much the land of opportunity compared to where I live! Right at the heart of the city is Albert Dock, a place now surrounded by various shops, museums and even a hotel with the Echo Arena mere feet away. Review of The Beatles Story, Liverpool

Liverpool Football Club

Advantages: Great squad, great fans, great manager, great history
Disadvantages: No league title for 16 years

Liverpool in trouble

...Let me just start by saying that this is not a story, no not one of my tales of dread I have yet to find a publisher for, this is just a bit of advice on how to write a work of fiction. Like you, I am a writer, but I also write fantasy and horror fiction. I think I am okay but still need to work of certain things, some might say I am quite good. I have had nine stories published in various small press magazines and e-zines (check out my web site for full details) and about four years back I self published my own novella. So I guess I know a bit of what I am talking about. UPDATED Liverpool FC Treble winners 2001

Advantages: On their Day can Beat absolutely ANYONE
Disadvantages: Cant we just win something the easy way for once

...Oh well, I think its about time I re-wrote my opinion on Liverpool, I wrote the original opinion earlier in the season, when we where showing terrible inconsistency, but it seems this got sorted out, as we went on to win a “HISTORIC TREBLE”, by winning the Worthington Cup, The FA Cup and the U.E.F.A Cup, a fete that has never been done by any English team, and hopefully we can round off a great season on Saturday, by gaining the third Champions League place, by beating Charlton Athletic. The Worthington cup was won in Cardiff on the 25th of February, by beating a very brave and committed Birmingham City, who took us all the way to penalties, after the match ended 1-1 after extra-time, maybe this was the warning to us Liverpool fans, that if we won this Treble, it would be at the cost of our Health and Sanity, as this was...

Pulp Fiction Screenplay

Advantages: Extra scenes
Disadvantages: None

...Being a huge Tarantino fan and an even biger Pulp Fiction fan, I decided to get my hands on a copy of the script. The great thing about the screenplay is that you can read all the bits of the film that didn't make the final cut as well as seeing what the original lines were and the changes that were later made. There are quite a few scenes and lines that wern't in the movie and whilst some of them wern't up to the same standard, others must have been cut for time reasons. The book is split throughout with shots from the film showing memorable and important parts. Also included in this are; a list of Quentin's other work, the cast list, a full credits list and awards the film recieved. This book sold very well and was one of the few screenplay's to make it to the top of the top ten books. When you read it you can see why. It works...
