Once upon a time, in Liverpool...

Advantages: An excellent museum dedicated to the Fab Four, suitable for all age groups
Disadvantages: Some of the headsets are a bit dodgy (it was just mine) and some displays not working

...This time during the month of Beatlemania, instead of just writing about the bands albums, films and death theories, I wanted to write about some of the ways in which Liverpool still celebrate the lives of their favourite sons (beside the football players!). Although Ringo made a few disparaging comments towards his hometown a year or two ago, the phrase ?everyone has to start somewhere? springs to mind and ? although I may be a little bias ? I would have to say that Liverpool is very much the land of opportunity compared to where I live! Right at the heart of the city is Albert Dock, a place now surrounded by various shops, museums and even a hotel with the Echo Arena mere feet away. Advantages: Great squad, great fans, great manager, great history

...away but well worth it on a sunny day. WEATHER: This is the main disadvantage. Liverpool is in the North & on the coast therefore it is often breezy and cold. It seems to rain a lot. UPDATED Liverpool FC Treble winners 2001

Advantages: On their Day can Beat absolutely ANYONE
Disadvantages: Cant we just win something the easy way for once

...Oh well, I think its about time I re-wrote my opinion on Liverpool, I wrote the original opinion earlier in the season, when we where showing terrible inconsistency, but it seems this got sorted out, as we went on to win a “HISTORIC TREBLE”, by winning the Worthington Cup, The FA Cup and the U.E.F.A Cup, a fete that has never been done by any English team, and hopefully we can round off a great season on Saturday, by gaining the third Champions League place, by beating Charlton Athletic. ...I have always enjoyed Rowan Coleman's books so I'm always pleased when I spot a new one of hers. I was especially pleased when I picked up The Accidental Family because I realised it is a sequel to one of her earlier books - The Accidental Mother. I had read this a while ago and really enjoyed it so it was interesting to see what happened to the characters afterwards. Having said that though, The Accidental Family can be read as a stand alone novel although it does have an added value if you read The Accidental Mother first. In the first book Sophie Mills suddenly finds herself looking after her best friend's two daughters after a fatal car accident. At the end of the book, the girls' long lost father has reappeared and Sophie has fallen in love with him. They all move to Cornwall and this second book follows what happens as they start...
