...Living Well Brindley Place. I've just moved to Birmingham and luckily for me Living Well Brindley Place is literally a five minute walk from me. Rather than just signing up I checked out their website and found they offer a couple of options if you just want a trial. You can either pay a one of £10 charge and use all the facilities for the whole day, or if you tell them you are interested in becoming a member you can spend the day there for free and have a chat with one of the sales team. THE STAFF: The reception team are always really friendly and ask you how you are. Once they've swiped you in they thank you by your name. You are provided with a small and large towel. ...I started here in September with my mum and we go once a week and make full use of the gym and pool facilities available. I was previously a member at the Isospa Gym in the Mote Park Leisure Centre (another local gym) and stopped my membership, as I previously didn't have enough time. With LivingWell giving free trial sessions and mass promotions we gave it ago! *****Location***** It is in the Hilton Hotel Maidstone, which is found just off junction 7 on the M20. You need to turn right at the first roundabout and go back on yourself at the next, its too big to miss! Advantages: city centre location
Disadvantages: expensive, staff have poor attitude

...stating these changes and others besides and stated that the showers, swimming pool and changing room facilities would not be available for a two week period - but the gym would still be open and there would be no possibility of a refund as the club was offering alternative facilites at another living well club near the M1 motorway. First of all: the facilites available elsewhere are already available as part of our membership as the contract allows 4 visits a month to any other club. ...know very little about this as I have no children but I am led to believe they offer a very good service As you reach the changing room and brace yourself for that all-familiar smell of sweat and deodorant, you are great by a spacious air-conditioned room with televisions playing MTV. There is a pleasant smell of flowers (They must put it in the air-conditioning). While in the changing room you are treated to a few novelties, free shower gel and shampoo, free hair dryers and a designated wet and dry changing area. Travelling up some stairs to the gym you pass the to class rooms that offer classes such as Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, Body Combat, Body Pump, Circuits, Legs Bums and Tums and the Bikini workout! I'm Now Living Well and Spending Less (The Thrift Book)

Advantages: Great straightforward honest approach from a personal perspective
Disadvantages: Odd sketches throughout

...I have a of fair amount of credit card debt to clear and was given this book at Christmas by a good friend. I guffawed a little and thought it was a bit of a joke - however when I curled up with it on 1st January 2009, I began to see that there was light at the end of the tunnel, without huge compromises ! Its written by India Knight and its really upfront, straightforward approach to living a happier, more fulfilled life on less money. I particularly loved the fact that she has been so honest about her own debt situation - this is a woman who had 2 books in the top 100 booklists in the UK..... and also had demand letters coming regulalarly through her letterbox. The book is split into different sections which all give real, practical solutions to living well but spending less in chapters entitled - Food / Clothes...

We'll Live And Die In These Towns- BEST ALBUM EVER

Advantages: Lyrically Inspired, No Bad Tracks!
Disadvantages: You'll never be able to stop listening!

...This is the Number ONE debut album from indie Coventry boys The Enemy. I bought the album 3 hours before they played at the Coventry Godiva festival and I am also seeing them at Leeds festival! This album is definitly the best debut album I have heard this year. We\'ll live and die in these towns (named after a graffiti tag spray painted in a toilet) is full of great songs, musically and lyrically. Everybody has heard "Away From Here" and "Had Enough" on the radio. Catchy to say the least, these were good choices or single releases, but werent by far the best on the album. Tom Clarke (Lead Vocals and Guitar) sings about the bands experience, working 9-5 to get minimum wage and growing up on the streets of Coventry.
