...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

my local book store

Advantages: cheaper than any store I know - usually very good
Disadvantages: delivery time is not clear - phone sales reps have bad attitude (or at least the one that I spoke to did)

...hadn't ordered this book instead of the one that I wanted and it turned out that I was right and they had sent the wrong book. Well, after a few calls to an "bad attitude" customer service rep and after they had told me that the book that I really wanted would take another 10 days I decided to cancel the order and request that my credit card be refunded. I still needed the book! I called my local book store "Baytree Books" in Waterlooville - they ordered it and the next day it was ready to be picked up. So what did I gain? What did I loose? I lost my confidence in Amazon for one - although it has to be said that on all the other occasions my orders were completed on time and without mistakes. Chase the chicks, meet the Locals!

Advantages: Short, sharp and an old fashioned chilling horror!

New Zealand isn?t well known for its film making production after all. ...Living in Edinburgh I guess it would be unfair of me not to show my support to the local newspaper. The Edinburgh Evening news is printed and distributed within the Lothian area. Covering a wide variety of subjects from home and abroad, with this paper you're always guaranteed to find something to read about. For the past 11 years now Edinburgh evening news has been printed in the standard tabloid size, meaning it is easier to fit in your shopping bag and more lower and middle class people are likely to buy it. Before 1995 the paper was printed in a broad sheet format and I strongly believe that the management team chose to change the layout because of there sales. The Edinburgh evening news is printed in the lovely offices near to Holyrood palace, which yes is just opposite the new Scottish parliament building in Edinburgh...

Belfast International Airport

...Belfast International Airport (Belfast Aiport) I flew out of belfast airport around four years ago, when I did fly out of the airport it was a bad time to fly out. The day before we where to depart to orlando the shoe bomber came on the scene! So the airport secuirty was put up. But the airline I was travelling with most of their planes had Technical difficuilties. So I was delayed for 30 hours and had to stay in the Hilton over night. So I should be able to tell you enough about it as I was in it for 24 hours. Area... The Belfast airport isn't in belfast, it is closer to Antrim a city near belfast. The airport is around 12 or 13 miles away from Belfast. So I don't know why they called it Belfast International Airport. But there is a hotel beside the airport. Childhood Memories In The Disney Store

...The Disney Store is a shop that sells Disney merchandise. There are Disney Stores across the UK and indeed across the world. There are Disney Stores in Disney World and Disney Land. If you have never been in a Disney Store you will be amazed at the different types of products that are usually always in stock. Although I must say I think you either love or hate the Disney Store. My husband doesn't understand the appeal of purchasing a Disney character bear for £20 when you can buy another bear somewhere else for half the price. Money Saving Store!

Advantages: Great bargains to be had.

My boyfriend joked (well at least I think he was joking) that my eyes lit up when I saw the store, because it was one whole penny cheaper than shopping in Poundland. International Drive... Orlando

Advantages: Interesting place to be

...Well yes its me back writing again after my holidays in Florida, so I thought why not write about this wonderful Drive which is actually situated some 8 miles from Down Town Orlando. What is International Drive ? It is the one of the Major Tourist road in the Orlando Area (Orange County), just about every major Hotel chain has one or more hotels on International Drive ( called I-Drive by the locals and regulars), in between these hotels there is to be found loads of souvenir shops, Chemists and Restaurants...mainly concentrated in the central area of I-Drive from Seaworld ( at the bottom end ) to Belz Factory Outlet at the top of the central area some 4 miles between the two... The Restaurants are really good family eating places with names like Sizzlers, Ponderosa, Denny's and our favourite 'Golden Coral' offer one price help...
