More Than Just A Fleeting Wisp of Glory

Advantages: Richard Burton, Julie Andrews, Robert Goulet, Alan Jay Lerner's lyrics, Frederick Loewe's music-most of it.
Disadvantages: Some shopworn, predictable tunes and weak orchestrations.

...I have owned a loewe lcd tv for about 2 years. It is fantastic. Its appearance always catches the eye of visitors. My tv has a motorised stand which means you can control the movement of the tv from your remote control or simply program the tv to turn to your desired position when turning it on. This TV does not have to be purchased with a motorised stand as you also have the option of free standing or mounting to a wall. The TVs clarity is second to none and the options available to you regarding your picture,sound, etc is excellent. The downside to this TV is that is it pricey. Including the motorised stand you are looking at about £3000. BUT i have found 'you get what you pay for' A true quality TV....

The best HD LCD I could find

...I went (window) shopping for a Sony plasma TV and came home with a Loewe LCD. Compared with the Sony/Pioneer/Philips and JVC models on offer I felt the Individual 32 had the sharpest picture, displayed the greatest amount of detail and produced the best sound amongst the 20 or so available. Specifically it shows amazing levels of detail during dark scenes - even better than the Philips Plasma they had in store! The special offer in House of Fraser that day made the TV irresistible. The initial setup is easy, and It has built in freeview, connecting it up to Sky HD via HDMI is a doddle, however a second HD source can only connect via the component connectors. ...I bought this TV from Empire Direct about 9 months ago for £529 (from memory). What a bargain. Have trawled through the internet to see if this was a good price I was pleased that the best I could find was 50% more. When the TV arrived it was obvious why Loewe have such a high reputation. This TV (although a little like the inside of a toyota in color, grey plastic) is designed to be a part of the furniture rather than some black box that collects dust. 100 Mhz screen helps but it is noticeably better than others and at half the price. Not a flat screen but it hardly shows. Sound is adequate. The on-screen instructions are desgned by someone who understands that we are not all rocket scientists. 2 scarts, has i-link so you can control the DVD and VHS from the TV. If you find one, buy one you won't regret it. The remote...
