The Logitech QuickCam Express

Advantages: small, quite nice looking, fairly cheap, works
Disadvantages: installation bit laboriuos, some features don't work when not administrator on XP

...The Logitech QuickCam Express is a nice looking webcam, with a neat little stand and very curvy lines. The camera and base are both whitey, so I don't reckon it would look that good with a black monitor. However, the base is around 9cms wide, and can't be put on top of a TFT moitor easily - at least not mine. If it has to be put on your desk, next to your monitor or whatever, then it doesn't really look up high enough, its really designed to look down on you not up. The focus ring is blue, which blends in nicely but the lens is a bit like looking into a black hole. I don't know if that's the same for all webcams, but it freaks me out a bit if I look straight down it. I got mine for £19.99 from a retail shop, which isn't too bad, and was deffinately a lot cheaper than the others they were advertising on their website. So I reckon it ain...

Here's some information that hopefully you'll find helpful: When I bought the Camera, it came with a software CD with excellent programs on it, and the camera has a generous USB cable. The camera is very good technically, the picture quality is good most of the time, but can be grainy in darker areas.
