A Logitech experience
Review of Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 by
BlueMidget
Advantages: High quality image, easy to use, well designed
Disadvantages: Recorded audio can go out of synch
...The Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 is a well designed, compact and easy to use webcam. It comes equipped with an in-built microphone, the ability of recording high-quality videos with sound, as well as being able take still pictures and, of course, to send live videos and sound allowing you to have online video conversations.
Included in the package is a USB 2.0 cable, the CD providing the drivers and software required, as well as a headset (with microphone) should you prefer not to use the PC speakers and webcam's in-built microphone.
I found the 'Pro 5000' was both easy to install and use. Having installed the drivers and QuickCam software provided, it was simply a matter of plugging the webcam in, ensuring my MSN Messenger was configured and then I was able to hold video conversations with friends and family.

Lightweight webcam for portable pleasures
Review of Logitech Quickcam For Notebooks Pro by
Plymyphil
Advantages: Small, lightweight, folds for storage
Disadvantages: Price
...Thanks in advance for reading this review on the Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro. I have had this available at work for some weeks now and have made farily regular use of it. It is by far the highest quality web cam I have used, and I've used a fair few. It is also the most expensive web cam I've used. Compared to products targetted at the home user currently this is a mid-priced product aimed at the SOHO user who appreciates a slightly better quality of product and has a little extra money to spend. It is also designed specifically for use with laptop computers. Let's take a look at the specific features and see how it rates.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
First the boring bit!
Operating system: I use this with Windows XP professional but it will also support MAC OS 9.0.4 and 9.1and Windows 98/ME/ and 2000. The CD-ROM that is bundled...

worth the money
Review of Logitech Quickcam Pro by
console
Advantages: Good performance, easy setup, good software bundle, works with Apple Macintosh, available in parallel-port model.
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, no built-in microphone
...Logitech's QuickCam was the first easy-to-connect video camera for the PC. QuickCam technology was originally developed by a company called Connectix, but Logitech purchased it a few years ago, and since has expanded and improved it. The QuickCam Pro is the latest iteration of the technology. The camera comes in USB and parallel-port models. It includes support for the Apple Macintosh computer as well as PCs equipped with Windows 98 or Windows 95 with USB support.
The QuickCam Pro keeps the oversized "eyeball" form factor that previous QuickCam models use, but it improves on the simple base of earlier models with a swivel base that has a built-in clamp. You can use the clamp to mount the camera on a shelf or on the edge of a laptop's screen. Logitech offers optional lenses for the QuickCam Pro; you can order a telephoto and wide...

Logitech Quickcam Messenger - a GOOD LOOKING cam
Review of Logitech Quickcam Messenger by
randhawa
Advantages: value for money, looks good, easy to use.
Disadvantages: need broadband for est results. small wire.
...I wanted a value for money, easy to use webcam. I use MSN quite a lot and wanted a webcam to allow video messaging. I also wanted to be able to make mini videos and email them to friends and family. I was recommended Logitech by one of my gadget-freak friends. I chose this particular camera as I felt it was value for money and looked great - small and sleek looking. The frame rate is up to 30 frames per second, which is more than adequate for most users.
I shopped around and eventually purchased a Logitech QuickCam Messenger from www.directfrom.com for £14.50. I paid £6 for next day delivery. The other options are
Standard Delivery = £2.00
Next Day Delivery = £6.00
Next Day Pre 10AM = £12.00
Next Day Pre 12PM = £10.00
Saturday Delivery = £17.00
My package arrived the next day, complete with a USB cable and software...

Logitech Quickcam Express
Review of Logitech Quickcam Express by
a_lil_gem
Advantages: Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Not a Good Quality Picture
....
The Logitech Quickcam was extremely easy to install. All I did was put the CD in and followed th on-screen instructions. The software includes:
~'Quick Capture'~
This is the main window where you can adjust settings like brightness, constrast and saturation, film videos, take pictures and change the size.
~'My Logitech Pictures'~
This is the album where all your pictures and albums are stored and can be edited. You can add text, change settings, crop and rotate the picture.
~'Create a Web Cam'~
This is where you can share live pictures from wherever you are with the rest of the world!
The picture quality of this camera isn't all that good. As I have already said, i only got this for a bit of fun with my friends. In daylight, it is quite good but still a bit 'fuzzy'. I usually tend to use the webcam at night becuase this is when I...

Logitech Quickcam Zoom
Review of Logitech Quickcam Zoom by
Vorx
Advantages: Easy to use and setup, Good picture quality
Disadvantages: microphone quality
...I have had the Quickcam Zoom for a few months now, and so far it's been excellent. Here's some information that hopefully you'll find helpful:
When I bought the Camera, it came with a software CD with excellent programs on it, and the camera has a generous USB cable.
The camera is very good technically, the picture quality is good most of the time, but can be grainy in darker areas. The built-in microphone is good at close range but can be difficult to hear when used in the normal position (on top of the monitor).
The camera sits nicely on top of a monitor, but I use blue-tack to secure it, as it can slide off occasionally.
The included software is good, there is video recording, still photo capture, time-lapse photo where you can take a photo every so often at a set time period. There is also a broadcasting feature, which...

Logitec QuickCam VC
Review of Logitech Quickcam VC by
steroper
Advantages: Image Quality, Excellent free software, Great value for money
Disadvantages: None, buy it now!
...The Logitech QuickCam VC came before the Quickcam Pro 3000. The QuickCam VC costs £20 less, this webcam offers almost the same image quality and exceptionally great software.
The webcam is slightly smaller and slightly less sturdy, but it has the same easy step-by-step guidance throughout the installation process.
The software that controls the camera and comes free with it is excellent, it has every useful operation from building websites to making home movies.
I think that the Logitech Quickcam VC and software would be great for children and beginners to use as everything is clearly explained and illustrated all the time.
As well as the Quickcam software that comes free with the camera, you also get Digital Radar security system and Microsoft Netmeeting. The best piece of software I think that comes free with the cam...
