...the mrs bought me this speaker system for xmas. i spent about 5-10 minutes setting them up, making sure there were no cables showing, (bit of a perfectionist). switched on, and bobs my uncle. nice crisp sound. took me a while to go used to using the wired remote, as i was used to just clicking the little speaker on the screen and setting volume that way,. now however theres no need for that. played with some good music these speakers are fantastic, there loud, clear and can be played at full belt with little or no distrtion, especially if if u turn the bass down a touch. if u aint got much cash for an elaborate set of speakers, this is the product for you. tidy price + tidy sound = happy customer.... Advantages: Great Audio Quality - Wired Remote
Disadvantages: Bass could have been better.

...Before buying this speaker set I had a craptastic "Diamond 2W speakers" that come along with my computer which I had brought two years ago. I also brought a "Phillips MMS430" after one year of having my default PC speakers, those soon broke down after a month of usage. Those speakers don't even compare to this speaker set, sure the MMS430 were louder but they had a problem in quality levels on higher volume settings. The Z4i or Z4 don't distort at higher volume compared to my older set which would horribly "wirrr" at being turned at three quarters full. As you see in the picture the two satellite speakers come with 3 drivers on each. Which means greater fidelity and crispness than any speaker with lower amount/s of drivers. Advantages: excellent price and superb sound quality for the size
Disadvantages: the sub can sound crackly if played too high

...I bought this a few weeks ago for around £60. Never been happier with a set of small speakers. I usually use big floor standing speakers because they usually have a better all round sound but these have not failed to impress. The treble from the components never sounds tinny like other small speakers, nor does the treble ever destort. The subwoofer has a bass boost control on the back and as long as it's not anymore than 80% then the bass will be loud low and smooth. All speaker sets come with the external volume control which just sits on the desk. very handy and have had no problems with this one. Overall i've not only been impressed but i'm amazed. I was going to buy a seperate stereo for my room but these speakers have kept me so happy i'm not going to bother. buy these, and tell all your friends to buy these. fantastic... Read review

Advantages: Loud, good audio quality.

...Well I'm gonna make this short: Good points- Well for the price the aesthetic and wattage output is absolutely brilliant. Which is if I remember is about 40W's, although this may not seem like incredibly alot to most hardcore music people type out there. Personally it is more than enough for myself, for watching ( + Listening) to movie, music, games etc. On the aesthetics, it looks very "polished" (good), the two satellites speakers have metal stands while the speakers themselves are made of plastic (though good plastic). The subwoofer itself externally is seemingly made mostly of wood (+ metal grill). An extra positive: The cable connected to the volume controller is quite long. The connector itself has a microphone & headphone output. Bad Points- Though the subwoofer is good in quality it just doesn't have the same "kick" as some... Read review

...Logitech X 240 is a great 2.1 system for consumers looking to save some money. These speakers are a good deal and come with a lot of features that other 2.1 systems don't have. It produces a large amount of sound, but they distort a lot easier than some of the other system. Also for each type of music you want to listen to you have to adjust the subwoofer to get a best sound. These are not huge issues though. The subwoofer does give you a good a nice feeling of explosions, but nothing like a 5.1 system would. Gun shots and other game sounds sounded good on the speakers there was some slight distortion when things would explode, but nothing major. I think that this is a great system for anyone looking for a better solution than their monitor speakers or the crappy ones that came with their PC.... Read review

...I have used this product with many different surround sound systems, including the Logitech 7.1 surround sound, that the card recommends, and i can truly say this sound card is one of the best on the market,simple to use and you dont have to spend excessive amounts of cash on a logitech surround sound either, its integrateable with all surround systems, Brilliant features, for films,games,music, headsets,sound systems etc, very good quality and great value for money. ...The Logitech Z 640 is a pc multimedia home theatre speaker system that will satisfy most users by having a high sound quality, low price and a nice design, however i do not recommend it to sound fanatics. All volume controls are on the center speaker -that means that you have to keep the center speaker in your range(hand-range). The center speaker has the power switch, a volume control, a front-rear fader, a matrix switch(for when it's used 4.1), another volume control for the center speaker only. What it lack's is the high and mid range sounds volume control, the subwoofer volume control is on the subwoofer (on the rear part ) so it 's kinda' out of reach... that can be annoying. For someone who just installs the speakers, and isn't "screwing around with the controls testing sound, music etc" it's ok, but otherwise you will just get... Read review

...I purchased this speaker system (after my last one broke) for 2 reasons; firstly, the consistently positive reviews of this product everywhere on the web, and secondly the cheap price. I am not a complete audiophile, but do not like watching dvds or listening to music on bad 'tinny' sound systems. Fortunately the logitech speakers lived up to the hype and gave the full, involving sound that I wanted. As the picture shows, it is a 2.1 system consisting of 2 satellite speakers (6 watts each) and a subwoofer (20 watts). The total power of the system is 32 watts, which is more than adequate if you're looking to vibrate the walls of your house. On the right satellite speaker is a power button (which in my opinion is far more handy than the usual method of turning the volume all the way down to turn off speakers), a volume dial... ...I spent a long time trying to find a well priced, well performing speaker set, and these speakers are absolutely perfect, and at an incredibly affordable price! Logitech have a good reputation for their products, and this is no exception; the sound is crystal clear, it can be plugged into any headphone jack, and the bass speaker, though maybe a little too loud, enhances the "home cinema" experience. I use these speakers on my laptop, and even though the screen is not especially large, the sound coming from the speakers gives the effect of a theatrical presentation, you can feel every thud through your spine, each explosion a feast for your ears, and listening to music? Well, if you get that perfect EQ, this is quite possibly the most impressive speaker set ever concieved at this price. I would also reccomend purchasing a software package... Read review
