Apex City of London Hotel - outstanding

Advantages: Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, modern hotel
Disadvantages: Slightly out of the way of the West End

...We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav! On arriving we were greeted by friendly and efficeint staff. The entrance to the hotel was modern and swish, befitting a four star hotel with marble and stainless tell everywhere...

Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London It's More Than A Hotel!

Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast

...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town. It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. Superb London Budget Hotel

Advantages: Beautiful setting in a buzzing part of London

...The Ashley Hotel is a superb, well-priced B&B hotel in a gorgeous location in central London. It is situated in Norfolk Square, Paddington, and is just 2 minutes walk from Paddington station. Paddington itself is a buzzing district of London adjacent to the West End, and is packed full of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Norfolk Square is an oasis of tranquility amongst this. It is a square (obviously) of tall, elegant Victorian mansions, all of which have been turned into budget hotels. The hotels are painted white and cream, and have tall windows and beautiful old railings outside. In the centre of them all is a railed garden. A hotel in the heart of New York City

Advantages: Great Location, Clean and Friendly Staff

...My boyfriend turned 30 a few weeks ago and for his present I booked us a trip to New York and the Wellington Hotel is where I picked for us to stay due to its central location in Manhattan. Last Wednesday we flew out to NYC and checked into the Wellington. If you didn't know already this is where part of the Borat film was made, the main scene being where he tries to unpack his things in the lift thinking its his room and so many Borat jokes ensued in the elevators during our stay. The location of the hotel is amazing, its a 1 minute walk from Carnegie Hall, 2 minutes from Central Park and 5 minutes from Times Square and is located on the corner of 55th Street and 7th Avenue. ...My wife and I stayed at the Grange City Hotel over the most recent bank holiday weekend. Having stayed in many London hotels that have tiny rooms and feel fairly overpriced, I was pleasantly surprised with the Grange City Hotel. The room was fantastic, and huge! The king size bed, desk, radio, tv with local channels, business channels as well as several sports and foreign language channels, and the option of internet and pay movies. Each room has a safe, iron, and tea and coffee making facilites. The minibar was even computerised! (be careful you don't touch anything unless you want to pay for it!) The bathroom was immense, modern, and had a large bath and a separate shower. Our room was supposed to come with 2 monogramed bathrobes, although they weren't there when we arrived. Wonderful hotel in London, I would highly recommend it!

Advantages: Brilliant location, modern rooms, clean and friendly.

Advantages: Great value hotel. Right in the heart of London. Lovely staff.
Disadvantages: None that i can think of.

...I will start by saying i love london. It is such a wonderful city for so many reasons: The shopping, the sights, the parks, the history,the nightlife, eating out, and the buzz of london city life. There is so much to see and do but staying in hotels in the centre of london can be VERY expensive. BUT not when you stay with easy hotels. I just want to say dont be put off having a great london break because of overpriced hotels. When me and my girlfreind go to london (2-3 times a year) we always stay at the easy hotel in VICTORIA. Right in the heart of the city FOR ONLY £35-£40 PER NIGHT AND THATS FOR THE TWO OF US!!!!!!!! Now in my opinion that is a great deal. ...I am a huge fan of the Radisson SAS & Radisson Edwardian brand. I do like to try different hotels and when visiting London overnight, by far my favourite is Radisson Mayfair. On this particular visit however, I opted to try a different chocolate from the box so to speak... *the hotel* the selection of this hotel was not difficult. As mentioned above, I have a huge liking of all things Radisson and an especially soft spot for boutique hotels. As this establishment fits into both of those criteria and located in my favourite area of my favourite city, surely we were onto a winner? The Mountbatten is named after Lord Mountbatten, the famous favourite uncle of Prince Charles and actually includes memorabilia from Lord Mountbatten's family home. Disadvantages: everything!

...I stayed at this hotel when I went to London for a two night stay, it was a travel package which included coach travel down, we didn't know where we were staying until we got there and believe me if I had have known I wouldn't have gone. The outside looked okay and the lobby didn't look too bad either but then we went in our room, it was very dark and dull and very dated, it was fairly clean though. The toilet and shower were seperate the toilet needed updating also, there was tiles in it and they were cracked and looked as if they had been stuck on by somone who didn't know what they were doing. There was no bath just a stand alone shower squashed into a cupboard that was hidden with a door. The food- The travel package included breakfast and tea, there wasn't much choice, if your fussy your stuffed basically, and it was all cold...
