Advantages: nice rooms, convenient location, lovely pool bar Disadvantages: Parking and food were a little on the expensive side
...unable to comment on the quality of the food. We enjoyed a drink at the poolside bar which had a very inviting atmosphere, very relaxed and well decorated with palm trees and little bridges connecting the various sections. Again though, the prices were a little steep, we bought a beer and a cocktail and the bill came to £16!
Location and surroundings
The Sheraton Skyline was easy to find, we printed off some directions from their website and literally followed them right to the doorstep. In the morning, it only took us ten minutes in the car to reach HeathrowAirport.
Finally
I would highly recommend this hotel for people wanting to stay nearby to Heathrowairport, although be aware that the food inside the hotel is expensive and so is the parking but you would expect high rates of parking in London anyway. I felt that I got a really...
Advantages: Cheap, close to Heathrow Disadvantages: Expensive Hotel Hoppa Bus, very basic, poor food
...I stayed here on a couple of occasions when working at Heathrowairport as a flight attendant/air stewardess/trolley dolly. I normally commuted to the airport from home via public transport-coach or train as lived an hours drive away (but hadn't passed my driving test grrr) Public transport was normally pretty good, took about 90 minutes but was useless for those 5am starts or 11pm finishes. I normally managed to swap flights but wasn't always successful. Rather than sleeping in the 'Quiet Room' in our airline's crew centre or sleeping on a fellow hostie's floor, another stewardess who commuted from Manchester recommended the Ibis to me.
Cost:
The cost was the major decider for me. Using the 'Crew' code on the online booking system I was able to get a room for £25 a night. Don't try this if you aren't airline crew though-upon check in...
Advantages: everything-pools rooms-resturants-gyms-fine bars- Disadvantages: pool may be a bit to small
...Welcome to the hilton heathrow, this 4-STAR deluxe with 395 rooms. Is one of the leading hiltons that is 7 minutes walk from the main terminal of the airport inn heathrow.
This hotel is in the best location if you need a quick route to the hotel, from the airport, just walk through the tunnel thats takes about 7 minutes. as you walk to the hotel through the great big turning doors all glass you think wow As you walk in to the hotel you first see the front desk that will sort out your room for how ever long you wish to stay.
The hotel is built in the design of a large hanger for planes, there are many ways to get to your room. the glass lifts are one of them, as you go up in the lifts you can see all the hotel and all that it has to offer.
you will need a flat card key to get in the room, when you enter the room you can see...
Advantages: Close to airport and shuttle bus runs frequently Disadvantages: Bad service, dated rooms
...I've stayed at this hotel as I attended an event held in the conference centre.
Parking was difficult, mainly because this hotel offers a park and stay facility for HeathrowAirport and after driving around each area of the car park we ended up parking at the side of the exit road. It was good job that we stayed on site for the time we were there as I wouldn't have fancied my chances at parking up again if we left and came back.
When we checked in we were told that a pre-authorisation charge would be put on the account until we checked out. This is fair enough, obviously they don't want people charging items to their room and not paying, but our pre-authorisation charge was £400 - nearly three times what our total bill would be. Personally I thought this was excessive.
The hotel has two floors and what appears to be very...
Advantages: It's relatively cheap to stay in the room, so it's not all too bad. Disadvantages: The staff, the prices in the restaurant, I know it's London, but I was shocked
...Here is the review:
When we decided to book our trip to New York for my 18th we knew the only way to really get to London, was by National Express. Only one of us drives and that person doesn?t feel safe on motorways. The National Express journey was terrible, but when we booked the package, we also booked a hotel called Comfort Inn. We were quite shocked when we were dropped outside of Terminal 5, to then have to wait about 20 minutes for another bus to get to the hotel.
I myself was quite shocked to find that the trip took about 20 minutes to get to the Comfort Inn; I thought it would have been on the doorstep of Heathrow, but apparently I was very naive in this aspect. I truthfully thought that when we got to the airport, we?d drag our suitcases around the corner and then ta da, we?ll be at the hotel. This is my own fault...

Review of Comfort Heathrow, London
Advantages: Looks nice in parts Disadvantages: Poor lighting in room, lack of sound proofing, lack of ventilation
...offer good facilities but we did not feel we experienced them. My overall rating of this 4 star hotel which claims "For sheer quality and total convenience, the Skyline at Heathrow has reclaimed its status as the pre-eminent Londonairport hotel. Business is easy and leisure is a pleasure." (which I would have to disagree with on all counts apart from the business viewpoint which I have no experience of) is a pretty poor 4 out of 10.
And before you ask or recommend me to do so - I have already fed back my concerns over our stay to the hotel - let's see what, if anything, they do about it. At the time we were rather disappointed with the hotel but because we thoroughly enjoyed the Friday evening (which is more to do with our friends being there to celebrate with us than the hotel providing a good service to its guests), we did not feel...
Advantages: Very nice, clean airport Disadvantages: Some staff a little rude
...and 23 flights to New York each day.
The most popular country for flights from Heathrow is the United States of America.
The busiest routes are New York, Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin.
The busiest day at Heathrow recorded so far was Sunday 31 July 2000 when 224,000 passengers passed through the airport.
Passenger Investments
In recent years an average of £1 million has been invested every day in facilities and customer service developments at HeathrowAirport. Recent examples include:
Over half a billion pounds on public transport initiatives such as the £450m Heathrow Express rail-link connecting HeathrowAirport to London Paddington in just 15 minutes, every 15 minutes.
A quarter of a billion pounds in baggage improvements including the revolutionary underground transfer tunnel between Terminals 1 and 4.

Review of LondonHeathrow (LHR)
Advantages: Very close to terminal 2 Disadvantages: A dear taxi ride from terminal 4
...I have not had to sleep at airports all that often - either in the terminal, nor nearby. After all, if you are flying out of Belfast, home is never that far from either of our airports.
However, a recent long-haul flight from Heathrow required arrival in terminal 2 at around 4.00 am. With a journey to South America ahead there was no chance of trying to make do with a kip on a terminal seat.
We needed a good hotel nearby.
1 Booking
As a regular customer of Pigsback.com and a points holder with the Holiday Inn group, there was nothing to compare for price with booking the room on the Pigsback link to Holiday Inn.
While Holiday Inn guarantee the best price online, Pigsback offer a 1500 point deal which equates to another £15 discount.
Booking is always easy with the Holiday Inn group, and the price was £56.40 before...
Advantages: Great location, beautiful rooms, huge beds Disadvantages: Very expensive food and drinks, car parking was £12 a night!
...My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sheraton Skyline hotel on 2nd October this year. I booked the hotel through priceline.co.uk and got the room for £51 including taxes, which I though was quite reasonable for a 4 star hotel.
Location
We found the Sheraton Skyline fairly easy to find. The hotel website allows you to print off a map and this made it quite easy to find the hotel if it wasn't for my boyfriend taking a few wrong turns! The hotel is on a large road that is absolutely heaving with hotels. Literally the whole road consists of hotels, some very large and impressive ones such as the Marriott. We were flying from Heathrowairport the next day and this hotel was about a 10-minute drive to Heathrow (at the most) and was in an extremely convenient location.
Arrival
Upon arrival we followed directions to the car park. We...
Advantages: Close to Heathrow, bargain room prices. Disadvantages: Difficult to transfer from Heathrow
...During my recent trip to New York our connecting flights to Manchester required us to have an overnight stay in London. Rather than travelling in to central london I decided to look for a hotel located close to the airport but also as cost effective as possible.
The flights and accommodation for New York had been booked since early 2005 so the hotel I have to admit was something I had forgotton to book so when it came to September and the balance for the hotel was due, so I decided to pay the balance and realised that I needed to book the hotel for our brief overnight stay.
Where to start I thought? So I went onto the Heathrow BAA website to try and find some hotels close to the hotel and as there was 4 of us we needed something within the budget and the hotels were coming out at £78.00 located within the airport, too expensive...
