...I booked the Tower Hotel in London via www.lastminute.com at a price of £150 for one night room only. This was a discounted price; they normally charge around £100-£120 per standard room a night, but as this was the Olympics prices have been increased and therefore £150 was a discount price.
but bearing in mind the location of right next to tower bridge and it was the Olympics I felt it was fair...

The address is M4 ? J4 Cherry Lane, West Drayton, Middlesex, UB7 9HB. (www.novotel.com) It is easy to get there from M25, M4 once you get out from the constant traffic jam. It is really close to the motorway and the satnavs...

Advantages: Beautiful setting in a buzzing part of London
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people - no lift
