Streets of London, absolutely the best restaurant on the coast
Advantages: Great food, great prices, fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, family welcome
Disadvantages: I can't have the chef at home :(
...Having lived on the Costa Del Sol myself I have visited my fair share of restaurants from Sotogrande to Malaga. I have to say that the streets is the best restaurant I have dined in to date.
The food is absolutely mouth watering, the customer service is fantastic even down to the fact that the owner brought down his little boy who played with my children during our stay.
He sat and had a conversation with us about all sorts and was generally very friendly. I do admit to drinking a little more Sangria than I should and even living in Spain it's harder than you think to get Sangria freshly made and not out of a tap-not here! Freshly made with fresh ingredients right before your eyes.
The value for money in unbelievable, we fed our family of five with three course meals for 70 euros. I did not begrudge him a penny of it because...

LONDON'S CALLING
Advantages: Pleasent stay, good food, central location
Disadvantages: Views from room
...have the Mall and St James park and Buckingham palace ? all within a few minutes. A little further on passed the Haymarket and you find more theatres in Piccadilly (a little further on for Oxford Street). The hotel has several bars and restaurants on site, along with a gift shop, and left luggage position.
Disabled access:
We booked a disabled room though our room was in my opinion a standard one. It had no grab rails, though was big enough to manoeuvre a wheelchair around. Access to the hotel by wheelchair is done by a side street (Exeter road) where there is a home made style ramp covering part of two large steps. However, once up the steps you are in a difficult position again, there are two sets of NON automatic doors to contend with. Luckily I had my other half to help me; otherwise a stay in this hotel might not have been...

Carnaby Street
Advantages: Different shops, unique, less crowded than Oxford St, near oxford circus tube, easy to get to
Disadvantages: None
...This review is way out of date, Carnaby Street has changed a lot over the past few yrs. Ignore it.
Introduction ~~
Carnaby Street, well it was once the place to go in the 60's and 70's but now it's a bit less well-known. Which I think is rather good as it is less-crowded than Oxford St, Covent Garden, Regent St, etc.
Location ~~
Carnaby Street could not be in a better location. It is just 3 or 4 minutes from Oxford Circus. tube station and is also within easy reach of Marlborough St and is no more than a 15 minutes walk from anywhere in Soho.
Shops ~~
The shops in Carnaby St. vary quite a lot from trendy fashion shops to the old cheap and tacky tourist shops. My favourite particular shop on Carnaby St. is the Mambo shop. If you haven't heard of Mambo they are a Australian surf/skate brand.
Well I did mention cheap...

Let's Take A Stroll Down Oxford Street
Advantages: Lots and lots of shops - you'll be entertained all day long
Disadvantages: Very very crowded, smelly, noisy and full of annoying tourists
...the West End. So if you're stuck in Anne Summers, trying on a fiddly pair of suspenders, and cars and parking fines slip right out of your mind, you may well return to find a nice big clamp on your wheels and a friendly little note on your windscreen demanding payment for your sins.
The bus is a fairly good choice to opt for. It's a lot cheaper than the tube for a start. The most you'll ever have to pay is £1.00, whereas on the tube, even if you're only travelling from one stop to the next, you'll have to fork out a ridiculous £1.60. However, the bus is obviously going to face the same traffic congestion as the car and it can take literally HOURS to crawl a very short distance. For information on bus and tube services, visit the London Transport website (www.londontransport.co.uk), or give them a call on 020 7222 1234. I hope you like...

A Christmas Carol Mr Men style!
Advantages: Festive and fun book based on a classic
Disadvantages: None
...A Christmas Carol is a lovely little book in the Mr Men collection 'With added Sparkle'. The cover of the book has a picture of Mr Happy and Mr Mean pulling a sleigh full of presents and the title above this in green and red lettering. The back cover of the book is white and has small pictures showing other titles available in this collection.
The book begins by asking us if Mr Mean has any money, we find out that he has lots which he keeps hidden under his floorboards. He hardly spends any of his money and all he buys to eat for every meal is a can of beans. He even eats them cold as he is too mean to put his cooker on.
Mr Mean has all of this money as he owns a factory which makes piggy banks, he hardly pays his staff any money at all and he only lets them have one day off every year which is Christmas day, he even thinks that...

Stranded in London!
Advantages: Excellent central location; good bars and restaurants
Disadvantages: Rooms a bit old fashioned; a little pricey
...stacked high with a traditional beef or lamb or turkey (or all three!) roast, carved by a very friendly and funny chef who served us.
As mentioned earlier, Covent Garden is less than 5 minutes walk away (the tube station a couple of minutes more), and most of the theatres are within 5 minutes walk. It was an ideal place to stay. During the day we did the cheesy tourist thing and got on one of the tour buses (a stop is just around the corner from the hotel). We also went on the London eye, but got to this using the tour bus, but I believe it is around 15 minutes walk from the hotel.
All in all a good central location for siteseeing and theatre breaks, hence giving it a recommendation, but a little disappointed in the room (especially after paying for a "club" upgrade). If you've stayed in a typical London hotel before then the style...

Green streets of London
Advantages: graphic portrayal
Disadvantages: graphic portrayal
..., they've got it wrong.
We live in an area, where football is a way of life, and my 19-year-old son, and 16-year-old daughter go to matches all the time, and have done since they were little tots and have never seen violence on this scale.
Also my neighbour was a leading member of an infamous football gang or (firm) as they liked to be known, and he agrees, that it is a portrayal of times gone by.
It does show Friendship and loyalty, but also shown is mans primeval ways, of hunter, warrior, being part of the pack, and tracking/stalking its prey and moving in for the kill, are we so different from our animal cousins?
Its gang rivalry at its worst, booze raged thugs on the streets of London.
It still makes excellent viewing, showing that if pushed enough, even the most timid of us will strike out. Its knowing when enough is enough...

Dancing in Dover Street
Advantages: Good food and atmosphere
Disadvantages: Can be pricey
...later (not everyone stays on after the meal, so plenty of room on the dance floor) the toilets were lacking in a little bit of attention as far as replacing toilet rolls, and tidying up of paper towels. I would have expected slightly better from this place as far as that was concerned, as it tries to promote itself as a sophisticated venue. Ladies toilets are plentiful and I never experienced a queue.
Booking is advised, regardless of the night of the week.
If you wish to come just for the music and bar, then there is a cover charge after 10pm.

X-MEN vs. Street Fighter the best of both worlds
Advantages: Graphics, amazing moves, endings
Disadvantages: Limited digital audio and slowups on PSX
...X-MEN VS. STREET FIGHTER
It was 1995, Capcom was riding it's Street Fighter franchise to the bank, and they have done well. Arcade machines were booming with quarters as gamers couldn't get enough of Ken, Ryu , Guile and Chun-Li.
Then Capcom , always the smart gaming company, made a big move, they decided to incorporate another franchise into their games, that's the characters from Marvel Comics into their games.
In 1995, they came out with "Marvel Super Heroes" featuring several of the X-MEN characters, Wolverine, Cyclops and put in the always popular Spiderman , Hulk and Ironman into their mix. The Arcade game was a hit, and it gave Capcom confidence to continue their partnership with Marvel
So in 1996, they came with another smart move why not blend in the characters from their Street Fighter franchise and mix them in...

Regent Street
Advantages: Hamleys
Disadvantages: Too many people, too much traffic
...If you haven't been to London before, then go to Regent Street. Less chain-store oriented than Oxford Street, its best feature is easily Hamleys, with over 5 floors of toys and games. There is a great ice-cream shop close to the Piccadilly Circus end, as well as Cheers bar, themed on the American TV show, and lots of specialist shops like the Apple store, and Liberty's is just round the corner. However, if you've been to London before, then avoid this street, as it is always packed with people, and Saturdays are a complete nightmare. There are many better places to see, and I much prefer the streets leading off it, like Carnaby, which have more interesting shops, and are a lot less manic....
