I don?t know if was because of the fact that I was only about ten or eleven when the film came out , and so because of the ?cover? of the DVD , as a child , I instantly thought ?that looks boring? , and so I had always had that opinion of the film , despite the saying ? Love in Notting Hill

...Have you ever sat at work daydreaming that one day Brad Pitt (feel free to delete/add name as appropriate) would walk in , see you an instantly fall in love and that you would marry and live happily ever after? ...As you can probably tell by not I love my chick flicks and this is another one that I enjoyed. With Hugh Grant and Julia Robert and Rhys Ifans who is one of the funniest people that I have seen in a film for a long time. William Thacker who is played by Hugh Grant owns a book shop in Notting Hill, where this film is set. One day the famous actress Anna Scott played by Julia Roberts visits the bookshop. William thinking that he will never see her again he walks out of the shop and a minute later collides with her and spills orange juice all over her. William is quick to invite her to his place to clean herself up. Then all of a sudden to the surprise of William Anna kisses him. ...What is the story about? The Story is about a man - William Thacker, who owns a small Travel Bookstore in Notting Hill. One day a famous actress - Anna Scott - came in to the shop and had a look around and then left again - William just stood in amazement as the beautiful actress left the store. He never thought he would ever see her again but he ends up bumping into her again outside the street spilling a drink all over her top - being so apologetic he took the actress across the road to his flat and let her clean up - this started off a tale of romance between the two. A lot of complications throughout as she is famous and with the press hounding her every step - she had no privacy with him. William introduces Anna to his friends and his friends are astonished when he brings a top actress to meet them when he has so much bad luck...

...I found Notting Hill one of the best romantic comedies. The writing was phenomenal--humorous comments about the differences between England and the U.S. as well as clever remarks that many movies are lacking. The movie kept my attention and also left me feeling as if it were real, something that I had lived with the actors. Whether or not you like Julia Roberts or Hugh Grant, you should see this movie. See it with an open mind and let yourself fall in love with Anna and William. Not only is the movie one of the best, but the soundtrack is also unforgettable. Definitely a must see movie!...

Im A HUGHGE fan of notting hill

...main stars in the film are Hugh Grant who plays a bookseller and is named William Thacker and there is Julia Roberts who plays a famous film star called Anna Scott. Some other stars are Ryan Ifans who is very funny and plays William's(hugh's) Flatmate called Spike and Tim McInnerny who plays one of William's old friends called Max.
