Long, Black Veil

Advantages: Great sound, very different, interesting guest singers
Disadvantages: Not a sound that everyone will find they like

...I have always had trouble writing music ops. I find it very difficult in transferring one medium (music) into another (writing). But I thought I would give it a stab with one of my all time favorite albums. Long Black Veil by the Chieftains is probably one of my top ten favorite’s albums of all time. Now, I will admit that it is not popular music, nor it is it for everyone. Many people would find it an odd choice. Irish music isn’t for everyone. However, I think this album may have more general appeal than the other albums by the Chieftains. Why would I think that? Because this album isn’t just the Chieftains. Review of Long Black Veil, The - Chieftains (The)

I'd never 'Wine' about the rooms at the Black Lion

Advantages: Fantastic staff, individually decorated rooms
Disadvantages: Unfortunately, I have no excuses to go there now

...stay the night. I've eaten breakfast, lunch and far too many dinners both in the bar and the restaurant. I've also hosted some rowdy business meetings there - if the owners should ever come across this review, they may still remember some vodka tasting sessions that quickly degenerated to lots of hysterical giggling. I was the one booking the hotel on those occasions. As well as colleagues, I've also booked friends into this hotel when we ran out of space to squeeze them into the house we lived in nearby. The Black Lion is a real 'one of a kind' country hotel, located on the green at the north end of the Suffolk village of Long Melford - much loved by antique collectors and people who enjoy visiting stately homes (there are two, Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall, which can both be seen from the hotel). The Cape of great hotel!

Advantages: Great location
Disadvantages: Not that family friendly

...The Radisson SAS Waterfront was a great hotel situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, with views of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain. The hotel was just on the edge of the town centre. Most hotels are located around the Victoria and Alfred waterfront complex and, as such, have particularly steep prices. The Radisson was walking distance to the V&A waterfront but did not suffer from extortionate prices (our room came in at about £70 a night). It had a sizeable car park and was well situated for driving down the coast of Cape Town. At the time of booking, we were not offered a choice on rooms so ended up with a basic room only. This was fine but we missed out on views of the harbour that could be seen from rooms at the back of the hotel. The room was spacious (approx 36 sq meters) with a king size...

Cape of Good Holidays!

Advantages: Beautiful veiws and gorgeous weather! Very cheap with exchange rate!
Disadvantages: Expensive flights, not safe at night!

Cape Town, the place to be

Advantages: Great Scenery, Value for money, Pristine beaches
Disadvantages: not much

...Cape town is an aersome place. i love it so much and would highly recommend anyone visit it. From pristine wite beaches, the awesome mountan and the V&A waterfront, this is the place to be! It is also very cheap whe nyou are coming over from the united states or europe bercause of the exchange rate. a beer costs around $1 - $1.50. Cape town is relatively safe compared to most south africa ncities, especially johannesburg, mostly due to the huge tourist industry. cape town is pretty small and easy to travel around. there is no trains or decent bus service, but you can hire a car for really cheap, and the are tour buses in the city. i highly recommend going there www.explorecapetown.co.za...

Meet joe black, long film but good.....

Advantages: Good film, good acting by everyone....
Disadvantages: The length, and starts off slowly.

Beautiful Cape Town

Advantages: The most beautiful city in the world, the view of Table mountain from the ocean
Disadvantages: The rumor says that there is a lot of crime

...a much nicer city compared to Jo?burg. There are many ways to get to Cape Town of course. You can drive but it is about 1400 km each way ? so it?s quite a lengthy trip. There is a train service between the two cities but again the train takes about 24 hours so it also takes a long time. We chose to fly to Cape Town and that took us about two hours. There was a special deal at the time so we paid about 1000 Rands for two people (for a round-trip). I think that Cape Town is a wonderful city. The city itself is located in front of the magnificent Table Mountain. There are also other ?mountains? in the ?City Bowl? ? the middle of the city: Lion?s head (about 670 meter) and Signal Hill (about 350 meter). The Long Goodbye

Advantages: (+) interesting story, quite different (+) suprises, twists and turns! (+) hard to put down
Disadvantages: (-) A little more description possibly needed though not essential!

Review of The Long Goodbye - Raymond Chandler

the western cape - well worth a visit

Advantages: stunning scenery, quite cheap, dolphins, no jet lag
Disadvantages: very very touristy in places,can be dangerous

...(they're farmed so you don't eat the ones you see), kinda a cross between squid and chicken (why does everything taste of chicken??) and apparently they are setting up cage diving with crocs so you will be able to see wht they are like in the water...could be quite interesting. My favourite trip out of plett had to be the one to cape town, the city had such a buzz about it and i wish i could have stayed longer, 3 days wasn't really enough, especially after an 8 hour coach ride to get there. there was only one reason why i originally went to cape town - for my, as i like to call it , great white shark snorkel - i actually did this 2 hours out of cape town in gansbaai, the same place that channel 5 did the celebrity shark dive, during some kind of shark week they had. It did cost 900rand (and that was with a discount)plus 200rand...
