Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...I really like quiche, so don't go around saying I don't. It's such a substantial, filling snack, containing all the elements of a really good, solid munch. Okay, it doesn't have the macho grittiness of the pork pie or the sausage roll, but hey, this is 2006, people. No-one cares about that sort of thing any more. ...I recently checked out my NECTAR points and found that I had accumulated quite a lot, so I took myself off to Sainsbury's and bought one of their quiche lorraine. I bought mine from the chilled counter and at £1.58 for 400 grams it was a little on the expensive side, still I decided to purchase it. THE PRODUCT The quiche came in a box covered on the front with a picture of the product and some product info (see later). Today is the 7th of March, the sell by date 13th March plenty of time to consume, I decided on 1/3 portion with my evening meal. The rear of the box was covered with lots of other information. I had a little trouble opening the box at its end, eventually I tore it open and pulled out a silver tray in which the quiche sat. The tray proved useful when cooking in my oven. ...I have recently changed supermarkets because our local Safeway store, which has been taken over by Morrisons has got worse. It wasn?t as good as Tesco before, but as shopping at our local Tesco means travelling an extra 10 miles, I didn?t go there for the weekly shop. As I can no longer get all the products I want from my nearest supermarket, and what I can get is often on or unreasonably close to the sell by date, for the price they are charging, I will be visiting Tesco a lot more often. As in this recent warm weather neither I, nor my family, want to generate even more heat by turning the oven on, we are tending to eat more food that doesn?t need to be cooked. ...Browsing the fridges at Asda, I came across something that looked most appealing. A small cardboard box sat on the shelf, the big 'Weight Watchers' label jumping out at me. It had been such a long time since I had had Quiche Lorraine?why not? Into the trolley it went, along with another flavour - they were on offer, at two for £2.50 as opposed to the usual £1.49 each. Checking the instructions for cooking, I removed the quiche from the packaging in the hope that it looked as appetising as it did on the box. Indeed, t he pale brown pastry looked rather tasteful, quite bumpy on the surface with a glorious pale yellow shade. Removing the foil casing, I popped it into the oven for the recommended time of fifteen minutes. As it cooked, the delicious smell of pastry filled the kitchen, but it was nothing compared to the powerful whiff...

Two apparently unrelated discoveries of the inter war period set Kingdom of the Ark off into uncharted territory and the conclusions will astound you. During the excavations at Tara, the burial place of ancient Irish kings, a bronze age burial was descovered in a tomb that was otherwise Neolithic, therefore much older. One of the most important finds was of a faience bead necklace. Faience is a type of fired sand paste, which when treated with certain glazes, creates a marvellous blue or green affect. The problem was these items are common to the mediterranean but unknown to the British Isles at that time...

...products that you probably don't need anyway. If you gaze at yourself in the mirror and despair of your curls, pulling them back into a pony tail or clip every time....you need this book. Go for it. Lorraine Massey is a hairdresser by the way - and she specialises in curly hair at her salon in New York. I may save up to fly out and personally thank her one day....! LOL....

...My recent quest for FREE DVD hire I visited and many DVD web sites that offered a free trial. Now call me tight (no that wasn?t an invite), but I like bargains and freebies and am not ashamed to say so. My quest took me to enough sites to hire DVDs for about four months so far (with plenty to come too). My latest free DVD site also happens to be the best I have tried for several reasons (see rest of op); the site in question is Blockbuster.co.uk. Other sites that I have had free rentals from and then cancelled have all been similar, two weeks free trial with two DVD?s per time ? which in effect gives you about four free DVD?s. With Blockbuster?s things are different slightly ? which add a great deal of benefit to us the customer.
