Salou, Hotel Los Angeles

Advantages: Beach, Scenery, Monday Salou Market, Close to Barcelona, Cheap (there and presents to bring back)
Disadvantages: Some people - don't go if you don't like being pushed out of the way by locals!

...What a wonderful holiday! We searched the Internet for ages for information on our hotel prior to our holiday and found nothing - so here you are for anyone else interested in going! Hotel Los Angeles is 5 minutes from the beach, less than one minute to the bars (across the road!) and less than one minute to the restaurants and shops. It is very commercialised - you don't feel like you're seeing much of Spain, but the cheap prices for everything including our holiday and beautiful scenary and beaches make up for it. The hotel itself is a bit more than basic - it has 2 twins and either a single or bunks in the two rooms we had between the four of us (myself, my boyfriend and two friends, all early 20s). A bath and shower and TV (only CNN English speaking). The walls are paper thin. I would not recommend it as a hotel for light...

Fear and Loathing in Los Angeles

Advantages: Didn't stay long enough to find out...
Disadvantages: Intimidating for first time visitors.

One peculiar feature was that all the furniture in the reception was made out of glass, so on your way across to the elevators, you keep whacking your shins on virtually invisible coffee tables. LAX -- Airport For The World

Advantages: Fairly well organized, short term parking is easy..
Disadvantages: Fast pace, first time visitors may be intimidated

Ground Transportation It is possible to access the Metro Rail Green Line from LAX, but it isn't easy. The Metro platform is off the airport on Imperial Highway and Aviation Blvd. You must take the shuttle bus from the island outside of the baggage claim area. You will see a blue sign: "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection" The correct Metro bus only comes about every 15 minutes and will have a sign saying "METRO RAIL" The LAX shuttle makes the loop of the terminals for passengers connecting between airlines.. The Metro Rail can connect you very inexpensively with downtown Los Angeles and AMTRAK's Union Depot. There are two shuttle van services which operate from LAX: Super Shuttle and Prime Time Shuttle. Visiting Los Angeles

Advantages: Lots of places to visit
Disadvantages: people

...If you go to LA for the first time you will probably think it is great but daunting at the same time as I did. It has the best art museums you will find, but the people are very vain and arrogant, similar to people from New York. Arriving at LA International Airport called LAX, you can pick up free 24 hr shuttle buses which link you to local buses.Finding a place to stay in LA is the hard part if you are looking for a bargain! I sayed at the City Center Motel which cost $90 per night which sounds a lot but is cheap in LA. Places to see are obvious; Bunker Hill, Broadway, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, The J Paul Getty Museum which is free from tues -sun and Anaheim-Disneyland which costs $33 but includes all the rides, but the queue's are terrible esp for the Indiana Jones Adventure....

...Any review of Los Angeles - unless contained within the covers of a City Guidebook - can realistically merely ‘prick the surface’ of what is to offer in this sprawling metropolis on the West Coast of America. I’ve tried to cover what I have personal experience of during two brief visits to the ‘City of Angels’ • HOLLYWOOD – MOVIE MAGIC On our first visit to L.A, we stayed at the Holiday Inn, right on HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD. Alas it is no more – it was demolished last year to make way for a huge development to include Cinemas, Shopping and a new home for the Oscar ceremonies. But it was pretty neat to stay there all the same and could almost literally step out onto the ‘WALK OF FAME’. You’ve seen it on TV, documentaries etc – all the way along Hollywood Boulevard...

GENTLEMAN SAYS: GANGSTA RAP MAKES NOISE IN HOOD

...the scene until 2006 (although it feels as though he has been around forever). The title of the track represents the two styles you would expect to collide, as Ne-Yo is well known for being a presentable R&B star with a large collection of love songs. 'Gentleman's Affair' is not as good as the other Ne-Yo featured track that appears on the Deluxe Edition, however it is one of the most listenable tracks on L.A.X. Chrisette is a Grammy-nominated R&B singer and continues down the trend at this point of the album with artists you wouldn't really expect to be making appearances, although Chrisette has previously worked with Jay-Z and Nas. Disadvantages: A couple of tracks weren't as strong as the rest

I say 'supposedly' because many rappers have claimed to be retiring in the past, but it doesn't happen too many of those times, so I doubt that an artist with only three albums under his belt and a record label with no mainstream artists will just call it quits. 1. "LAX Files" The Game kicks the album off in a big way as he challenges all the fake thugs out there who have no idea of waht it's like to be subject to a Gangsta lifestyle; where your life is constantly under threat. ...Lax international airport is big and very busy. It is divided into different terminals for many international flights. Do not get off at the wrong ones, it will take you forever to walk. Upon leaving: the way to Lax is always crowded. Traffic jams is a usual in that area. Getting out of the freeway on the way to get gas is not such a good idea. Because it is all downtown Los Angeles. Not too safe at night. So be sure you have a full tank of gas and be prepared about the traffic time before you leave. There are parking structures across each terminal. It is advisable for one to park at the correct building to avoid long walks. Rental cars are very convenient too. When you return the rental car, they will take you to the airport. There are many different parkings for overnights. They all have free shuttle service to and from...
