McNally's off to Rio Lobo

...Rio Lobo sees John Wayne paying the role of Colonel McNally who is working on the trains during the civil war. He is sending a train load of gold to another town but it is robbed and he has to set about trying to find the culprits. Much to McNally?s disappointment he is captured by the enemy and he has to lead them to safety but before long the roles are reversed and McNally has them as prisoners of war. The two prisoners are immediately set free though as word comes of the end of the war. McNally with the help of his now two uncovers information on the train robbers and sets about finding them. One of the men sets off back home to Rio Lobo but the other, Cordona stays to help McNally when a young woman, Shasta, comes into the bar who is being chased by the deputy of Rio Lobo. Water Great Product! (Camelbak Lobo)

Advantages: Huge capacity, great valve system
Disadvantages: Heavy when full, expensive

...If you are into cycling then you should consider whether a Camelbak would be a good investment for you. I have always hated having to remove my hands from the handlebars to struggle with a water bottle mounted on the fram of the bike and then have to look down to replace it. For me this was an issue of safety. A friend recommended a Camelbak and it has been one of the best purchases I have made. Looks The Lobo is one of the biggest Camelbaks on the market with a 3 litre fluid capacity and a 3.2 litre storage capacity. Four episodes are included here: "Homie The Clown", "$pringfield", "Viva Ned Flanders" and "Homer At The Bat". "Homie The Clown" has Homer enrolling at clown college after spotting a billboard for it. After becoming an official Krusty the Clown impersonator, he soon finds himself being recognized AS Krusty and in trouble with the mob. The Simpsons movie references are aplenty here, the best one being Homer banging his head on some glasses and playing the theme from The Godfather while being held captive by the mafia. A very good episode this, has memorable moments like Homer imagining everyone around him are clowns, even if they're his friends being burned to death, and Marge singing a circus anthem. Fear and Loathing in Los Angeles

Advantages: Didn't stay long enough to find out...
Disadvantages: Intimidating for first time visitors.

One peculiar feature was that all the furniture in the reception was made out of glass, so on your way across to the elevators, you keep whacking your shins on virtually invisible coffee tables. Salou, Hotel Los Angeles

Advantages: Beach, Scenery, Monday Salou Market, Close to Barcelona, Cheap (there and presents to bring back)
Disadvantages: Some people - don't go if you don't like being pushed out of the way by locals!

...What a wonderful holiday! We searched the Internet for ages for information on our hotel prior to our holiday and found nothing - so here you are for anyone else interested in going! Hotel Los Angeles is 5 minutes from the beach, less than one minute to the bars (across the road!) and less than one minute to the restaurants and shops. It is very commercialised - you don't feel like you're seeing much of Spain, but the cheap prices for everything including our holiday and beautiful scenary and beaches make up for it. The hotel itself is a bit more than basic - it has 2 twins and either a single or bunks in the two rooms we had between the four of us (myself, my boyfriend and two friends, all early 20s). A bath and shower and TV (only CNN English speaking). The walls are paper thin. I would not recommend it as a hotel for light...

The best kept secret in Tenerife

Advantages: Quiet, picturesque and relatively unspoiled. Year round sunshine.
Disadvantages: Very hilly. Parking can be a problem. Maybe too quiet for some. Small beach.

Sadly, nowadays Tenerife has developed a bit of a reputation for pubs, clubs and chavs. Luckily, the north (Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz de Tenerife) of the island still retains a better reputation, being rather more picturesque and lush. However, the south of the island is a lot more built up, with the most popular southern resorts being Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos, both of which are fairly teaming with nightclubs, high rise hotels, neon signage and fast food eateries. To be frank, Playa de la Americas is rather dirty and seedy looking in places - it's really seen better days. Los Cristianos (once a quiet and sleepy fishing village) is a little newer and shinier.
