Want a low fat lunch? Philadelphia's Light with Bazil

Advantages: Great packaging, good flavour, impressive taste!
Disadvantages: None at all!!!!

...If you have read any of my previous reviews then you will have seen that I sometimes struggle with what to have for my lunch everyday. I tend to get bored quite quickly with food and whilst I have fads of items where I cannot get enough of them, not long after I am soon fed up. I have recently been on a bit of a soup fad but know that before long I will tire of it. Whilst going to heat my soup up in the works kitchen I saw a colleague toasting herself a bagel and then spreading something on it?. This something was Philadelphia Light with added bazil! So a new idea for my lunch and off I went to my local Supermarket, Tesco to pick myself a tub up. ~ Stop with Light, Diet, Low fat, Low cal! ~

Advantages: It's a relatively cheap drink
Disadvantages: It doesn't taste great, doesn't send you to sleep

...40 calories per drink. Compared to the 212 (12% RDA!!!) stated on my Lucozade can, I'd say this was pretty good going. Though with all things 'Light', 'Extra Light', 'Diet', 'Low Fat', 'Low Calorie', 'Low Sugar' options, there is a tendency for the taste to be reduced, though not always. In this case that was true. Well, I can't comment on whether the taste was 'reduced' as I've never had full fat Horlicks, but I can quite truthfully say the taste of chocolate was minimal, if there at all! Ignoring the lumpy bits for the moment, the drink tasted of nothing really. I usually drink Cadbury's hot chocolate as there's a strong taste of chocolate, and the drink normally has a thicker consistency than water. Advantages: A light fruity yoghurt
Disadvantages: There could be slightly more fruit!

Imagine a cross between a raspberry and an elderberry colour and that is what you have, the light yoghurt is thick and stays firm as you put the teaspoon into it. Sweet with a short sharp bite, the yoghurt is a mass of summer berry pips and there are a few whole blackberries in the pot. As you spoon it out the yoghurt is thick enough to stay on the teaspoon and it tastes remarkably creamy for such a low fat dessert.
