...My little girl has just started proper swimming lessons. I've pretty much taken her swimming since she was born as I think being able to swim is one of the most important things a child or adult can learn in their life. In the beginning we just went to the pool to get used to the water and to instil a bit of confidence in her but now I actually want her to start learning how to swim properly and to be confident enough to be in the pool by herself. At the moment she is still quite young so I am always with her but we are getting there and you can see her confidence grow every time we go. One of the items we purchased for her on recommendation from the swim teacher was a set of goggles and I believe this was a very good idea. My little girl absolutely hates getting her eyes wet. In the bath this is the things that make her cry the most so...

Goggle Eyes

...that were equally low maintenance. Or... goggles that could handle this level of abuse, even if on paper the required more care. I keep my Mariners in their clear plastic holder (more of a box than a case) and this has been great for me as I can just give them a token shake to scatter some of the remaining drops of water, and click them away until my next swim. The sturdy case keeps them safe and makes for easy transport - without it I'm sure the straps would have snagged by now. It also makes them easy to store as the box is a uniform shape so can be stacked with other things on a shelf, or fitted into a drawer. I can swim easily without goggles, and regularly do when on holiday and floating around, but for proper lengths I find the Speedo Mariner goggles a great help. Good quality kids goggles

...Good quality kids goggles When my son was learning to swim I bought him some goggles from ELC. The reason for going there for them was simply because everything I have bought from the early learning centre has been reasonably priced and fantastic quality. The goggles cost £7.49 which I believe to be really good value for money as they are really good quality and fit really well on his face. The goggles are made from a rubber material and my son says they are really comfortable against his skin and even though they fit well enough so that they don't move about on his face the strap doesn't feel too tight and cut in to his skin.
