South West Trains - London to Exeter line

Disadvantages: not enough frequency to some stations

...I use the South West Trains service between Salisbury and Tisbury, and Salisbury, Tisbury and London Waterloo frequently. The old diesel trains have been refurbished, and are very comfortable. They are still quite loud, but quite smooth. They are always immaculate, and punctual, and the staff are great. There is always a buffet trolley, which is well stocked and is reasonably priced. The fares are quite good as well, especially if you've got a railcard and you book in advance. The return fare from Tisbury to Salisbury is much cheaper than the bus. The only problem is frequency of the trains stopping at Tisbury, as they only stop once an hour, which can be frustrating. However, trains running every half hour to London from Salisbury is great, as it means that you never have to wait too long....

Disadvantages: story line slightly confusing.

Is South West trains improving?

Advantages: Getting better service, quick to London
Disadvantages: Less stops at smaller stations

...timetables smaller stations get far fewer trains, i recently had to travel from Portsmouth to Godalming, a journey which used to be direct and easy. I however, had to change at Haslemere and wait there for 40mins before the next train to Godalming. SO just check times before you travel! However, despite all these problems, i do no want to seem harsh on South West trains. Until 2 years ago almost all their trains were slam doors and they have invested huge amounts in bringing their fleet up to date. The idiocy still remains of last minute platform changes, short notice cancellations and big delays when the slightest thing goes wrong, but it does provide me with the quickest way of getting to London i can think of from my home in Guildford. Advantages: Fantastic Hotel with superb facilities and wonderful food.

Wow a review on a petrol station

...I saw this as a review and seeing as I regularly top up at thsi particular station, I thought Id let you all know about it.. although I have to admit Filling Stations dont spark much much interest! This BP branded garage is situated on the infamous North Circular Road (A406), and can only be accessed when travelling eastbound. It is about 1 mile past the East Finchley turning. It is easy to see and so you shouldnt past it by mistake. That said, this is one of the few places on the A406 where there isnt too much traffic so you could whizz past it if you are speeding (would serve you right!) It is clean and large, and has the full range of unleaded, LPG and diesel fules. It can get busy, but I dont usually have to queue for more that 5 mins. One of the better things about this garage is that it has a 'BP connect shop...

IVE GOT GAS - OF THE LPG VARIETY

...My LPG conversion was installed a year ago I had being toying with the idea for a while. after hearing my partners uncle had it on a Lexus I took the plunge. 2 grand a small wheel like tank in tool slot at rear of vehicle and it was installed. The LPG can be switched between petrol and LPG and the fact you can have a tank of petrol and a tank of Gas gives your car a longer range. The LPG tank is full for £20 as oppose to £30 for half a tank of petrol - such a big difference but the car needs a small amount of petrol to start so I keep a quarter of a tank of petrol in usually just for that purpose. If you get the LPG system installed correctly the car doesnt suffer much loss in power. I was made aware of rally cars with 200hp engines running on gas and I also drove a converted vauxhall calibre that really flew, overtaking was easy...
