Davy Crockett ranch - Disney

Advantages: great pool, good cabins and great deals available
Disadvantages: 15 minute drive from main parks

...I went to Disneyland last week with my family and stayed there for 3 nights at the Davy Crockett Ranch. I have now visited Disneyland Paris 6 times and have also been to Disney world in Orlando as well last year. However I have stayed at the Disney hotel and a few of the others but I have to say that Davy Crockett ranch has to be one of the best ones there and certainly my favourite as it has so many great features and offers much more as well as being more free. The Accommodation: When you stay there you will be put in a small wooden cabin in a particular area which are all named such as Tomahawk or Bobcat. Each small 'camp' includes about 50 to 100 cabins all with separate parking spaces and outdoor bins. Inside you have a choice of either a one or two bedroom hut and all of them can sleep up to 6 people, with a double bed...

Come Fly With Lucy...

Advantages: Funny, witty, well written, good likeable characters

...'t actually read Heat, so I haven't read anything she has written in the magazine but I thought she is young and probably has a good idea of what people want to read these days, so it made me feel a lot more positive about the book in general. The story is based around a character, not surprisingly called Lucy McCarthy. Lucy is about to head on holiday to Australia for the wedding of her two best friends Sam and Molly for 2 weeks when the whole thing is jeopardised before she even takes off from British soil. When turning her mobile phone off in the cabin of the plane, she notices she has a new text message, and decides to quickly read it. However, the text isn't the text she was expecting to receive...it is from someone claiming that they have just slept with Lucy's boyfriend James in her bed. I LOVE LUCY!

Advantages: chick-lit at it's best, unputdownable, good characters, well written, funny, not too predictable
Disadvantages: you'll be sad when it ends

...and my man split up, and was still reading it three weeks later when I met up with him and he asked me what I was reading these days. The book was only about two hundred pages long so I was pretty embarrassed to admit I was still reading the same book I'd been reading last time he asked! So I know this sounds completely irrelevant but there IS in fact a point to this little story I am telling. For I HAVE read a few books in the last few weeks but with little enthusiasm. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Jucy Lucy Sucks

...Books are relatively expensive here in Australia, there is no equivalent to the top ten shelves in Asda or Tesco (that I?ve found yet) and there is no Australian Amazon unfortunately, so when I spotted a small shop just outside Sydney?s Central Station that proclaimed on it?s hoarding, ?3 Books for $12 (about four and a half quid to you and me) I skipped inside with glee. The selection was quite limited and just one shelf was discounted, however, seeing my crest fallen gaze the man behind the counter took pity on me and said I could pick any I wanted. Yippee! One of the books I picked up was Lucy Talk, by Fiona Walker, which is the subject of this review. I knew from the back cover, and I suppose the title that this was a ?chick lit? style book. Although I keep professing not to like this genre very much I do seem to keep buying them...
