An intelligent Lumix DMC TZ-5

...I have decided to buy Panasonic Lumix TZ-5, after having long research on reviews sites and feedbacks. Today in the market there is maximum share of compact cameras are under of canon and Sony. But I decided such a camera which can fulfill my maximum requirements with travel features, which I can keep with me every-where and I can't loose any chance of good shot. Having all above points in mind I have decided to go for Lumix TZ-5 and it was my best choice according to requirements. Where it is extra-ordinary, where it fails?..some brief description I kept here, hope that u will like it. This Camera is excellent in many ways, 1) First you would like in this camera that is 28 mm wide angle lens that the way which moved me to buy this camera which able to capture a wider-framed shot when compared to a traditional 35mm camera...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 - Next best thing to an SLR?

Advantages: Monstrous zoom, Intelligent Auto, Price
Disadvantages: None that occur

...The Lumix FZ28 is an upgrade to the Lumix FZ18 and is almost identical on the surface. The LCD screen is now 2.7", compared with the 2.5" screen on the FZ18 and there is an extra switch on the back now to switch between Recording and Playback mode - which used to be handled via the mode-dial - a definite improvement in my opinion. I understand that not everyone will be upgrading from the earlier model so I will keep this comparison to a minimum from this point in. The aforementioned LCD screen is the same size as you would find on comparable models such as the Fuji FinePix S1500 or the Canon Powershot SX10 IS, but it is very bright and easy to see, even in sunlight - certainly easier than the Fuji. Disadvantages: Overshadowed by the TZ7, Tries to do everything for you

...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture. Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7

...Having always been a bit of a cheap and cheerful camera buyer, I was a bit nervous spending nearly double what I'd usually spend on a camera. The perfect backpackers camera

...I purchased the original DMC-TZ1 when it first came onto the market a few years back and thought it was a great camera. But this one is even better! The 9.1mp makes for a good clear shot and the 12x optical zoom is amazing! Its the perfect camera for travelling - it can fit into your pocket or a going out bag ensuring you always have a camera to capture every moment. The zoom is the perfect added bonus. The only downside as I see it is the battery must be a specific type which isnt compatable with many other cameras. Having said that the battery is good quality and lasts for ages once charged. Because the battery is so specific to purchase a spare (which I would recommend for anyone travelling) isnt the cheapest....
