Fantastic Luxury Hotel in Dubai

Advantages: Everything - a real experience hotel
Disadvantages: Cost - A little too far from Town for easy shopping/eating out

The deluxe suite has all the technology that I have already mentioned and like all other suites it is in a duplex arrangement, the lounge, office and sitting areas downstairs with the luxury bathroom, bedroom and dressing room upstairs. The Panoramic suites are corner suites with floor to ceiling windows, the arrangement of the panoramic suite is beautiful, the view is superb, the lounge area is open across both floors with the fantastic spiral stairs...

Royal connections but not that luxurious -Durham Marriott hotel

Advantages: Comfortable, convenient for city sight seeing
Disadvantages: luke warm bath water and average food in restaurant

...Durham Marriot Hotel Royal County Old Elvert, Durham DH1 3JN A BIT OF SCENE SETTING: This hotel is part of the Marriott chain but is an old hotel which was once the home of Elizabeth Bowes an ancestor of the Queen Mother. Apparently it was often visited when it was privately owned by Edward VII when he was up in Durham. It has had quite a large series of extensions and now boasts 150 bedrooms, some of which are suites and family rooms all and have en suite bathrooms ( As you might expect in a hotel I would have thought). This is a four star hotel right in the centre of Durham so perfect for a city break as you can park your car in the hotel (complimentary) car park and walk round the city which is very compact and just a hop over the road from the hotel. Advantages: Quaint luxury in converted canalside houses. Convenient for all Amsterdam

It has been formed by the amalgamation and renovation of twenty four of the original canal houses. The modernisations have been quite extensive but have been in keeping with the listed nature of the buildings. It has created unusual sprawling hotel in the heart of the old city while retaining the feel of historic canal houses. There are many changes of level (steps up and down) on each floor and there are tight and steep staircases between floors ? so much so that the hotel does advise that it cannot be considered disabled or wheelchair friendly. The archetypal Oxford hotel of unbridled luxury

Advantages: Beautiful ambiance, sybaritic surroundings, unrivalled dining experience (especially Afternoon Tea), polite and helpful staff
Disadvantages: Expensive!
