...I bought into M&G Recovery in 1988. It was my first ever Unit Trust. Boy was I impressed with the past performance. £1000 would have grown to £69000 in the previous 25 years. I was so impressed that I started a unit trust savings scheme and kept it going for 12 years. The fund performed well in the early years but the growth was nearer to linear than exponential. This meant that each years growth was a smaller percentage than the previous year. In 1998 it suffered serious losses when world markets crashed due to the problems in the far east. It took over a year to recover its original price (much longer than the vast majority of funds) and has gone nowhere since. I sold out in January this year, just after it recovered its 1998 value. Wu Tang created a classic with their first album ? can they do it twice here?

Advantages: it's got some great Wu tracks
Disadvantages: you'll have to wade through a lot of filler to get to them

...This came out around the time double CDs were in fashion. This means you get nearly 30 tracks for your money but are they any good? There are certainly some very good tracks on this album like the first single ?Triumph? which showcases what makes the Wu Tang Clan so special. Unfortunately such tracks make up a minority of the album. A number of tracks feature the dubious rapping talents of the RZA (did anyone actually enjoy his rhyming on his solo album?) and the singing of Tekitha. Cappadonna fans will be pleased with him appearing on no less than five tracks. RZA produced most of the tracks of this double CD but not all of them with the remainder being produced by 4th disciple and True Master. That classic combo Raekwon and Ghostface Killah shine on ?M.G.M.? and ?Heaterz? (my favourite track of the album which absolutely rocks). Other...

I'll tell you a secret - This book is great! Shhh

...of the pool and ran starkers back to our room. When we got back to the room it was 7.30am so we went straight down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Jeez, this place was posh and I walked in wearing last nights make up (most of it!) and erm... damp clothes! lol Mark went up to grab some orange juice and I'm being stared at.... by lots of people. OK, I know I look crumpled but I'm not THAT bad. I start to feel uneasy. I look at Mark's face as he's walking back to the table and I feel worse! I look up where Mark's looking and I see................ a glass bottomed pool. O. M. G. AND judging from the position of the restaurant we'd been more or less directly above the serving area. ...I watched this quite a bit in the days when I was too poor (or was it too mean?) to subscribe to the Sky Movies package. Started by the famous Ted Turner (he of CNN fame), it largely constitutes the entire film library of M G M in its glory days. Most of its output is pretty unmemorable 30s and 40s films (remember, there was almost no TV in those days), but it regularly rescreens such gems as Ben-Hur, Casablanca and Doctor Zhivago - usually in the original widescreen (letter-box) format (though even with my 28" TV, I sometimes feel I need binnoculars!)....

Each G-shock watch was originally made to meet the 'Triple 10' criteria, which consisted of a 10 Metre Fall (shock resistance), 10 bar (100 m water resistance) and 10 years use. It was made so that it could fall in any direction of 10 metres and survive the impact, not just the outer shell, but all the internal components. The G-Shock today has exceeded those original targets, with 20 bar (200m water resist), bashed against concrete slabs/trees etc (god knows i threw it against the floor my hardest and it didnt break) and over 10 years use so far. ...People rant and rave about the latest Dreamweaver release, the newest version of Frontpage, and so on. People don't mention the control these programs take away from you, the designer of the page. WYSIWY(M)G editors have their place, but competent designers should at some point go through their HTML code by hand and check it is as efficient as possible. Arachnophilia is great for that. It consists of a text editor, HTML syntax checker and a few standard chunks of HTML code. So you get all the benefits of hand-written code (faster loading, more precise control, etc) combined with the ease of being able to click a button and have an ordered list (or whatever) appear before your eyes. Also includes a browser which parses HTML (almost) exactly as intended, unlike the major web browsers which can be a little too forgiving just until...
