Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

Ford Focus 1.6 - Shocking!!

Advantages: Handling and Looks
Disadvantages: Customer Service, Bodywork, Transmission...

...Two years ago I decided to buy a brand new car, and after much research I decided upon the Ford Focus 1.6 (old style now). Everything I had read pointed towards a really good choice. So I went into my local Ford dealer and a week later I had my nice new car. First thoughts were a good looking car, well built, fantastically smooth to drive, held the roads amazingly well. All of the equipment worked wonderfully well and I absolutley loved my new car. Then the problems began.... After two weeks the Airbag Modulator failed, so I went back to the dealer, and they replaced the faulty part within a few days. They wouldn't let me have a courtesy cat so was left hanging around the dealers for a few hours. All work was under warranty so no cost to me. Three weeks after the Modulator fault I was washing the car and noticed tiny rust spots...

Advantages: Economical, performance, comfort
Disadvantages: Rear legroom

...A car I have the pleasure of owning. A good little practical car that has a good balance of economy and performance. I get about 40-45MPG, depending on the road's I'm driving and isn't what I'd call sluggish. My car is the LX model that comes complete with air conditioning, which I must say doesn't have much of an affect on fuel consumption. It's a nice comfy drive with good suspension that seems to float over small bumps. Decent standard radio too that is easy to use. Road handling in my experience with the car isn't perfect but I'm blaming this on the rubbish budget tyres that have been installed at some point before I purchased the car as I often find the car beginning to understeer in wet conditions more than my old Ford Sierra, which I thought was pretty terrible for handling in the wet but oversteer was the Sierra's main...

10/10 for the Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec Climate

Advantages: Big luggage compartment, Heated windscreen

...I bought my Ford Focus in August 2006. After many months of research I opted for the 1.6 zetec climate model. As a young mother with two small children I needed plenty of room in the back and a boot large enough to carry a pushchair as well as the weekly shop, I am happy to say that this car did not disappoint. Some other great features of this model are -The Heated front windscreen and mirrors which save me a lot of time in the mornings. -The CD player that comes as standard and can be controlled by a lever attached to the steering column, Sound quality is great and the speakers in the back are in the doors - so I can have the radio on without the speakers blaring down the babys ears. -The fuel consumption is a lot better than I expected for a car of it size. -The car is very stylish although very common...

Sweet 16

Advantages: Better than your average thriller
Disadvantages: Not a great ending

...I caught the trailer for "16 Blocks" a while ago, when I was at the cinema to see "Inside Man". It looked like a pretty good film, but "Inside Man" was so good that I was sure I'd made the right choice. In addition, "16 Blocks" starred Mos Def, a man who I thought made a dreadful Ford Prefect in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and I was in no real rush to watch it. So I promptly forgot about it until recently, when I had the chance to see it. Jack Mosley is a New York cop who, at the end of a long shift, is asked to transport a witness, Eddie Bunker, sixteen blocks through New York from a holding cell to the courthouse in time to testify in an important case. The traffic is grid locked, making the journey tougher and they have just under two hours to get there, otherwise Eddie's testimony cannot be used. Both men have other things...

Focus 1.6 - A fun stylish serious car.

Advantages: Comfortable, spacious for passengers, driver and lugage. Nippy and stylish.
Disadvantages: Its not the ST170 and its not the RS.

...My 1.6 is one of the late early 2001 models and it is a pleasure to drive it was second hand and had two previous owners, I'm not sure how they treated it but when I picked it up it was in pristine condition which to me says that it is a fairly hardwearing car. Its smooth lines and contours make for a slightly sporty look as well as the memories of the Rally focus in all its glory tearing up the WRC. It is a very smooth ride with fantastic handling so if you are a little heavy on the peddle it has the strength to compensate. Acceleration is good and you through the range of the 5 speed gear box, and at the other end of the scale the brakes are hot too mine only has discs on the front and Drums on the back but there is plenty there to slow down the 125 horses that kick out of the engine. Advantages: Catchy, crunchy riffs, very entertaining and well-executed, nice artwork

...So I was bored the other day, I don't know if anyone on Ciao is from Belfast but does anyone actually like Victoria Square? I was getting a lift home from uni for Easter and my mum felt compelled to go and have a look. ...The Ipod touch is without a doubt the best Mp3/Mp4 player that is on the market currently in my opinion as it has so many good qualities. These qualities include the beautiful touch screen which enables quick navigation, up to 2500 songs / 20 films and thousands of pictures, internet access, hundreds of games to choose from (some already installed on the ipod) and lots of icons to choose from (stock market checks, calendar etc) which just basically makes the whole experience of having an ipod touch that little bit better. The ipod touch (16GB) version is in my opinion the best value for money at roughly £220 as it holds a lot of data yet still doesn't break the bank. If you are thinking of buying a loved one a present I would recommend the ipod touch as it can be personalised and customised to that persons needs, apple store...
