The 350D!

Advantages: Durable, Great Resolution, Easy to use and great for amateurs -semi pros!
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a sensor cleaner like the 400D

...The Canon 350D is an excellent Digital SLR for semi pro use. Which is exactly what I use it for. It has a small 1.8 inch screen for preview but boasts an 8 megapixel resolution. Its very easy to use and is compatible with most accessories. I personally have a Canon Speedlite for it, I also have an infra red trigger for studio photography that works great and use interchangeable lenses that also work great. The battery life is good on the Canon 350D as long as you charge it well. I've done a full day's shoot with this camera (around 6-8 hours) and had no problems with battery life. I would advise taking spares though anyway. If using flash, then take lots of spare batteries or purchase a battery pack to make the battery life longer. The settings are very simple to use. For the beginners I would suggest using the program...

...I bought this camera for £629 from Jessops this August 2005. Along with an EH-18 case for £34! And just to let you know I'm only amature photography so this review won't be as technical as some! The Kit I bought was the EF-S 18-55 Let's start with first impressions: When you take the camera out of the box you will be pleasantly surprised by its size and weight. Compared to a lot of digital SLR's in this price range this camera is a lot lighter and compact! This may not be everybody's cup of tea but would you rather lug around a heavy large camera or something that's lighter and easier to travel with!
